Well it is a Little overpowered in the sense it can be chained or not purged, so work can deffo be done onit, but the idea is great.

It is a bit similar to Tanks having DET but not mages, welcome to our world.

will nukers be able to do ANYHTING after buff shearing and that ridiculous focus shield and everyon whos rr5+ having AoM5 which will be better than det AND give you massive resists to magic. Its like everyones a hib :(

QQ MORE NOOB :flame: :flame: :flame: And sort your facts out too. Slag.

Same name does not = same effect as the old RAs - i.e. the new AoM, as it stands atm, will reduce magic damage by up to 28% depending on level. The new Det will reduce CC duration albeit by a lesser amount than the present Det. AoM will not be any good if what you want is to avoid standing still with Zzzz above your head. If you got 34 points you can essentially choose to let the chanter have less time to nuke the smeg out of you while stunned, or have him do less damage while he does it.

Basically 15 min timer since both druids have it, and i wasn't exactly comparing them. However point was that mid caster groups have ae stun which is overpowered but hib groups have more overpowered abilities so they really shouldn't whine...

Give stun line in druids nature spec(instants too ofc) and u can have gp anytime.
It is not ra's wich win battle, it is ppl who are playing. For the last week with a good bard i think i used gp like twice every 14houres of rvr, and i could use AE stun 10000 times, go study mate.

jesus.. it still isn't about gp only, and i wasn't even whining about gp, let it stay in the game imo. It's just stupid that hibs come whine about ae stun since they clearly have it easy now. Even more amusing when garba whines about it eventhough they kill every single group on excal.

Duration is the damage done by CC spells, and as far as I read everywhere, AOM affects duration just as AOM does now !

Atm that's true, however that is likely to change. As I see it they've organised the classic aom into 2 different ones, one for CC, one for damage and raised the % they reduce. However they didn't take into account that, like you said, duration is the "damage" done by CC spells. According to the beta RA-table I'd say they're gonna make aom be % against damage only before release.

Hm really? Thats kinda dumb and also v. confusing on Mythic's part...where'd you get that from? on the RA chart it says "magic damage" for AoM which I would not include duration in. I read it as the new "AoM" will affect damage, independently of resists - unlike the present AoM which just increases resists, and therefore affects both duration and damage?

If they change it, I'll be a lot more at ease... But so far I'm scared of running into tank groups with 28% AOM :/

i think tank groups are also scared about 28% more dmg and while for a primary damage caster it makes sense to go for mom5 i think most tanks wouldnt go for aom5 either way

Yet 28% of AOM is more effective then 28% MOM... However, why would a tank not get AOM 5 if it also effects mez duration, at top level its only 4-6% less effective then Det.5...

I'm scared that if AOM does indeed keep affecting CC duration that every group will indeed run with AOM 5, which forces me to take MOM 5... Kind of weird how this limites the RA choices now doesnt it :/
