I seriously doubt the entire realm is boycotting RvR, probably just a few idiots with delusions of grandur trying to flex their collective Epeenies to a world which doesn't care.


All the same, i'm going to wait 'till we get NF before I throw up the 'I Quit' rattle out of the pram, the Americans are going on and on about how its all keep based now, but if I were being honest keep based RvR is probably more interesting (for me atleast) than running around Emain trying to compete with the seemingly endless horde of RvR Guilds... (I suppose that makes me sound bitter, but i'm not really - it just pisses me off that people have got it set in their minds that if you don't run in 1fg your some kind of inferior person. Nothing inferior about knowing your limits. I know I can't compete against sombody who puts a lot more time into DAoC than I do, I don't see why I should feel forced to try tbh)

Lots of sulking on the US servers.

Seems a contingent of Mid Hib players believed they were winning against superior numbers pre NF because they were so l33t. However post NF it appears they left all their tactics on the bus and are now losing to a larger force.

Standby for the biggest mid whinefest you've ever seen when 1.70 goes in.

I don't think they can actually achieve anything by doing it.. so I find it rather pointless. Ofc you send mythic a message but there is no weight behind the boycott.. Mythic still gets their $ and the server will still be populated.

I guess the statistics from DAoCskilla2 were correct. Merlin had highest number of cheaters (400+ daily) with 45% of them playing hib

Also, it's the leaders of Merlin/Hib that are organising it, the funny thing about leaders is that people follow their lead quite often...

I think most of the whines are not that it's keep based, but that tanks have little role in keep takes because keep takes are tedious and take a long time until the few minutes in the courtyard/lord room, and that you can't compete with the realm that can summon the largest zerg. It's not the keeps per se', but the mechanics involved, and the insta spawn zerg.

Been wondering that too. It seems like NF is gonna suck real hard. TOA already had a huge negative effect on rvr and if it still gets worse it may be time to /quit.

Quite similar to hib/excal, when mids had overpowered LA, hibs whined everyday and gave up on rvr, since hibby became the most powerful realm post ToA you cant swing a cat in emain without hitting 2-3fg hibs

Since most "rvr" guilds tend to be in hib/mid due to better classes in an 8 man group the whines will be heard louder from them come NF.

tbh, you don't see many hibbs in emain, or midds, IF you really tried you could prolly name every midd/hibb that came to emain in the last month. Try do the same with Albion. There are prolly 50 Hibbs at the most that RvR, what do the other 650 do ??

only 100 more than rangers and 200 more than hunters, difference is barely noticeable to be honest, keep fights + MoS is what im looking forward too, NF is gonna suck for you hroft, they can detect radar users
