Most likely because its been rendered twice, I asked roanne and shifty to render the fraps material for me so it would be less to send over irc etc.

Hm.. I know what you're saying. What I'm doing and works for me at least, is that I compress fraps material with virtual dub (you can apply your prefered codec and settings, improves visibility as well on dark footage), which takes it down to a very nice size you can use to send to other people, or to store and work on it in my case.

Hope that helps in case you haven't tried it.
