1. Check your graphics cards colour correction settings haven't screwed up. reset them to something else. Then back to defaults.
2. I've had the same problem recently and oddly fixed it by opening up media player, go to the tools menu/options and click the performance tab. hit the advanced button and turn down the acceleration in there. I found out it was only the "use overlays" option that was screwing up my video playback. But could easily be something else.
Worth a try though, I only had problems after updating my graphics card drivers
