the calculation is 1 + (level / 5 (rounded down)) + (RR-1) or for a quick formular at lvl 50: 10 + RR

at level 50 your base + is 11, and you get +1 pr RR-1, so RR5 have 11 + (5-1) = 15..

RR15 would be: 11 + (15-1) = 25 \0/ Unless ofc they planned to cap it RR14L10 but would imagine it ending with RR12L0 (with new change) or RR15L0 (at first plans)

i wonder what the cap ill be RR12L10 or RR11L10 :p
if its RR12L10 it ill be RR13 :l
it ill be RR11L10 prolly so ppl already RR11 can get max 10 more points and 1 RR skill point its almost nothing imo ...

Bleh! :p Tired and thought he meant +24 total, lol :p

Was to set up to prove it would be +25 I didnt even stop and look at my own calculation and realise he was right :p

well.. didnt they say RR10 was highest before? yet you could get RR10L10

so, whats there to say that RR12 for them dosnt mean RR12L10?

What I thought too, but Arauddry have RR11 now, so (s)he probarly knows when you count as RR11 :)

EDIT: Mythic says that current limit is RR11, so figures thats the official cap atm, just raise with 1, end up with RR11L10

yea i was thinking that maybe its 11l10 or 12l10 who knows :p

Mythic say alot of things, what comes out is a very different thing.

IMO they should not give a rr15 character any bonuses to skills or anything like it. What would be kinda cool though was if they extended the rr and the 50 levels and give people rewards like new clothing or titles. Almost like the veteran awards in UO.

I think new titles is reward enough or perhaps titles that player can set himself or something.

The usual disclaimers apply - we're still working on this, we haven't tested it, we don't have any hands-on user feedback yet, etc. Heck, it's already pretty different from what we described at the Roundtable on Saturday. So get out those grains of salt, and read on:

Proposed Ream Rank Expansion - RR12

Realm Ranks

- We plan to increase the realm rank limit to 12L0.

- We will still give characters one Realm Skill Point for each realm level, which means that the total possible RSPs will increase from 100 to 110.

- At 11L0 a character will get a new realm title, exactly as we do now.

- At 12L0 a character will receive a title that can be seen by realmmates and enemies. Realmmates would see (title) (firstname) (lastname); i.e. Lord Michael Balanceboy. Enemies would see (title) (firstname) I.e. Lord Michael.

There are also going to be some adjustments to some of the system caps at the same time that we introduce the expanded ranks:

Realm Point Bonus/Penalty

- We will make the Point modifier work as both a bonus and a penalty.

- We will lower the percentage modified per realm level difference.

- We cap the penalty at 25%. (What this means to you is that no one will ever earn less then 75% of full credit, even if you whack someone much smaller in realm level.)

- There is no upward cap on the bonus percentage for killing someone of a much higher realm level. Therefore, a RR 1L0 who killed a RR 12L0 would receive a bonus of almost 30%.

And now, for those of you who want to know the numbers for our proposed rank progression, here's a handy reference guide. Remember, subject to change, potential typo territory no matter how many times I proofread, et cetera and so forth. To the best of our knowledge, there is no one currently playing who could immediately be RR12L0 under the proposed system.

The changes seem fair.

The most that higher RR chars will earn is another +2 to all skills and another 10 RA skill points. It won't significantly change the game, but just gives the hardcore players something to aim for.

and on the subject... its not a bad idea, it is of great importance that the gamer will 'think' that the farming that he is doing after rr1x is never pointless...
