lol, but suddenly getting 400+ albs into excalibur to crash a server whenever hibs try to even look at your relics is easy i guess, after all, u don't need to pay for the doors that way.

Are you a bit... simple?

Too be honest Coren, you did have 400 albs defending excalibur that time we breached the second gate primetime.

And the server did crash.

And no albs complained about the lag becuase there was so many albs there.

That was because we got as many people as possible together to get the job done. We didn't want a zone crash, that was an unfortunate side-effect (well, apart from the doors resetting ;))

Hibs have enough people to mount an effective RR, but they just can't seem to get the numbers together to do so. Reminds me of Albs vs Mids in the early days surprisingly enough...

First, you obviously don't know what hib has.

Second, if you got as many people as possible together to get the job done, couldn't you have done the same when Relic Raiding us? At a more normal hour?

Not like you wouldn't outnumber us 2:1 easily.

yeah we don't actually have enough people to RR unless we spam all hibernia forums for about 5 weeks in advance, and even then we max out at around 60 people.

There is something of a difference between relic raids and relic defences. With relic defences every man and his dog will run to Excalibur to defend -- but with relic raids a lot more organisation comes into it.

Leaders have to be selected; relic carriers chosen; rams built etc, etc. Then you have to hear about it through the various channels for such information to be carefully and discretely dispersed.

If people relic raid on Albion at the popular play times then you have to expect to have a lot of people coming to defend. Can hardly expect people not to want to come and defend surely?

Yes there is a huge population imbalance - and that has a lot to do with the name of the game. The majority of people who choose to play Dark Age of Camelot will want to play in the realm of King Arthur ... Mythic shot itself in the foot really with that.

Agreed Turamber

but this should all be possible with a tiny bit of preperation, and shuold imo at least be tried before you raid at odd hours.

- God knows hibs raided you primetime several times (causing in lot of broken gates, and a server crash amongst other things) before we did the early approach, albion just went out at the probably lowest populated hour ever, and took the relic back with a zerg as big as Hibernia with some luck could get primetime.

so did xzzx say when the rr was happening or like an hour in advance? if it was in advance then yes out of order but why even go on IRC if your not allowed to tell people whats happening/communicate with people not on daoc? i dont use it anymore as seemed pointless, just full of whining etc :)
