Ok...

Let me start by saying that I have no objection to people soloing, and I have no objection to people wanting the maxium possible rp's. However, once you pursuit of this goal turns my life into a PM spam hell - I start to have a problem :(

<rant>
I am NOT your personal buff bot, I am NOT your personal rez bot and I am NOT your personal heal bot.

Looking after a group with heals, rezes, and buffs etc. takes all my time / concentration / mana. Most of the time I have none left over to help random "soloing" individuals.

If you want to be healed - get a group with a healer, if u want buffs - get a group with a buffer. If u want to solo so you get all the realm points - solo - if u want help from a class which, thanks to mythic, is incapable of getting any realm points without a group - join the group! If you do not wish to help out the group support classes, why do you expect / demand help from them?

You scratch my back - I'll scratch yours. If you refuse to join my group - PM spam me for buffs, then get killed and PM spam me for a rez - u will get /ignored

When you are on the floor and a cleric runs past and does not rez, then this might be because they didn't notice - but more likely they cannot spare the 1/3 of their power or more it will cost to rez you. Or it's not safe to stand still for seconds on end casting the rez. If they do rez you please say thank you - the number of times I have given random people a 12sec rez only to not recieve a single word of gratitude is insane!

So in summary - if you are prepared to share and contribute to a group that I'm in, I am more than happy to rez, buff, and heal you. However if you are prepared to give nothing in return - don't expect anything from me.
</rant>

Right - I feel much better now - thank you

Fair enough, but can you stealth?

Ahhh didn't think so!

Many hunters/Scouts/rangers/infils/sb .... really can't have a buff bot walking around with them, and lots of groups don't like the stealth classes.. so do spare an incy wincy thought for them, go on just an incy winncy thought.... :)

When I get spammed by people wanting a rez, I just say:

"As soon as Mythic gives my class the ability to rez, I'd be glad to!.... I'm a MERCENARY, not a Cleric!" :p

You may laugh, but you'd be surprised how often this happens...

If I was wearing ordinary chain, I could perhaps understand it... but I'm wearing my Epic armour, dammit!

I get the same problem too - I used to get asked for buffs from my luri champ from time to time... you'd have thought the big ass hammer in my hands would provide some clue as to me NOT being a enchanter :p

As soon as you'd be prepared to stick to me and walk at a snail's pace through the Shadowblade minefields, away from the safety of the zerg, then you can share my RPs.

Until then, THEY'RE MINE! ALL MINE!!! MUAAHAHAHAHHAAA!!!

But if anyone throws me a random heal/buff/rezz I'm always appreciative and thank the nice person responsible.

As for PM spam. I much rather type /release as soon as I hit the ground and sit on the pad for another 10 minutes while I get a beer than scream at the 4fgs that just trampled my corpse chasing the solo bard that ran off at mach5 + sprint :wall:

(Oh, and it is quite often good policy from your own RP point of view to throw a random heal the way of the poor schmuk that's stunned and being nuked in the milegate, as keeping an extra man alive on your side is generally a good idea).

is 50% mana for me to res :D

Anyways, my group obviously has top priority unless there was a massive zerg vs. zerg conflict, we won and we need to get everyone up a.s.a.p. then i res in this order clerics>friars>paladins>minstrels>everyonelse. Number of times get a pm from people saying FFS RES ME FIRST! is insane. If you are a wizard in amongst massive deads, wait in line :fluffle:

If I have mana spare and see some1 being hit, I stun the person on em or heal em...or both. If its spare, use it, if not then as said previously, those who spam pm you with FFS comments, ignore em.

p.s.if you pass a body and have the ability to res with no-one around, do top res, jump after 2 seconds of cast and frantically spin your camera around. That way for the extra 10 seconds they can't see it's you ressing and also spinning makes SB's work harder ;)

hehe

Well if i am dead somewhere and a non-fighting druid runs by, even if i fear it seems mean, i "demand" a ress =)

And there is rarely any druids around me that fight, the large fights i take part of is more or less random only :D

And in 5 of 7 times i usually just release and wait for another tp as well =)

teams is getting more fun though =)

I often solo (group quite often also) and I don't expect to get ressed when dying some place "wierd" so to speak.

But when dying like 10 paces out from a TK or at a keep while defending/attacking and not getting ressed, well - that I think it kinda annoying. Have been at several keepdefences of late when I had to release eventhough there were healers/shammys around, and have also lately seen people ignoring the dead inside the keep.

But out in the "wilderness", and especially away from zergs - it is often(always) just faster to type /release unless you know somebody that is near you.

Hmm, maybe stealth classes do not expect to group, cause no group will help them lvl to 50 (holds for most of the time). Only people I can beg to group with are guildmembers, and otherwise I just leech on prince/legion raids, or solo.
But I agree that if you are not grouped, you have no right on buffs or heals. Do not blaim a cleric not in your group if you die.
But rezzes, those are mandatory mate. Yes, the rezzed person needs to say thanks. But if I play with my sorc, people even outside my group expect me to mezz, despite the fact they will run the mezz 2 sec later. Just the way it works.
If I die, I do not wait for a rez unless I die at amg or near apk really. And I do not demand heals or buffs from clerics. Still, feel free to ask I allways think :)
Regards, Glottis

I've noticed a lot more healing/buffing/ressing going on in hib than alb, I think it's in part due to hib having a lot more healer classes being played.

Not sure you actually have more players in healing classes, just that half your damage classes can also heal.

More acurrate to say 'in part due to every 2nd damn hib class having some level of heal ability'.

;)

the ressing part is due to the paladins all burning their power on endurance regen ;)

(probably leaving it on rather than twisting it)
