I totally agree with you Ying Yang, I'd also add that ANY cheats are lame and should be banned permanently if it's proven by GOA. Not this 3 day ban crap that's sometimes handed out.

But it's not just some Hibs that cheat, both other realms have thier fair and unwanted share of cheating shitheads too

This is only a game guys. One persons idea of what is fun is another peorsons own private hell. Thats what makes life so interesting.

I don't like farming so I choose not to do it. But I don't badmouth or judge those that do. If they get banned, they get banned. If I see anyone farming I try to wade in and kill my enemies. End of story.

Play this game for fun, and don't try to tell other people how they get their fun.

Well, you maybe not, but some people are, including me.

And ffs, get a life, i can get more rps by just ganking greys(1 rp each) for an hour than i got on the entire evening tonight.

If i want to have fun, i WILL have fun, and noone gonna stop me cept GOA, and if they do? then ill just stop playing since this game sucks if there is no freedom at all beyond "Kill, kill, kill, take keep, kill, kill, kill, relic attempt, kill kill, repeat".

If you have something against it, just dont participate, and please, make mythic come up with a system to not give rps for duels, cuz that would only stop one thing, the whining(that is the only negative thing about dueling for me).

Some ppl think its fun to kill lvl 15 players exping outside borderkeeps. Some ppl think its fun to sit down and craft. Some ppl think its fun to kill the same monster a bazillion times for a piece of equipment. Some ppl think its fun to See character progress while pressing 3 buttons ever 3 mins(xping). I<--(see, I dont care what YOU think as long as im enjoying myself) think its fun to have duels comparing a persons imagination and class/build selection.

If you see this as a real life war and will not alter the game by any means then i feel truly sorry for you and i suggest you go find yourself a job or something and GROW UP, ITS A GAME!

Normal rvr is one big grp against the other and the only thing i do there is f8 7(ae dd) and thats it. Everyon can do that.

Duels are a nice way to see how good someone rly is and its way less irritating than running around any frontier hoping you find an invader solo for you to duel.

If ppl dont like duels fine, but dont go flaming the ppl who do because its just a game and everyone should be able to play it the way they like.


ps: if you wanna flame pls do, makes it easier to see difference between real players ,and the little baby's here.

Duels weren't till death. Usually ended with both participators alive. So stick you your RPS farming elsewhere.

Well Cadwyr i can see your point and i can also see the Duel point of View as well.
The only way i came across dueling tonight was when i seen you got killed and asked you were you were killed @ so i could come and Rez and when i got there i saw 30 peps all of every Realm and was quite suprised to see that ....
Dueling is and more so now in DAoC a big part of what players want ( And before this turns into a rant ) from online games the best example of this is Ultima Online and i would say for many people that is what made that game for them.

All in all i dont mind it so much but i dont like it that much as well though it would be so much fun if Mythic would make an area for people that would like to Duel without getting RPS..( not that we would get that even if Mythic did put them in and what do RPS mean without a Camelot Herald here )...

I sat and watched for about 20 minutes, there was one death, and that was only because one of the void elds bolts did max damage. Rest of the time they stopped before final blows, I saw at least 30 duels, I don't consider that rp farming.

whats the problem if some ppl duel? I was there also did a few duels did not enjoy it and just run away to suicide on a few albs and to help guildies with xping. Myself I find also emain RP farming boooring and I can call you lvl 50sh hanging around emain just laaaamers - do not you find that emain fighting is some kind of duels? not 1x1 but group vs group or realm vs realm and you cadwyr is the same laaamer as you like to hang around in emain and farm RPs, so shut up and allow others to have fun as they understand it.

As you say its a game, dont take it too seriously play it without using lame tactis to get some RP that will make you superior in a game. This is just a game grow up, stop farming RP that ruins the fun for loads of others trying to get the RP in a way it was intended to.

This is not CS this will not make you gain any money in your real life etc its just a game therefore you dont have to use lame tactics to gain an advantage. Its just a game grow up.

yeah sure gray ganking is also lame from my point of veiw but finally its game for all and as far as you do not cheat you can do whatever you want like fighting in emain from day to day doing the same and the same, finally I find gray ganking mre interesting as you risk to be slayned by high lvls and it takes time and skill to get to grays and its not booring emain
well you can ask what then not lame? well what a few guilds trying todo like NB, my guild (terra dominus) or one alb guild a few days ago - take forts, vut reinforcements, piss enemy realm to stage when they collect huge army to protect keeps - finally fun in this game is in RvR not in PvP or PvE

Ended up in a massive slanging match with Matinex ( who mustve organised this whole thing )

While we talked lds more albs/mids turned up,

RP`s evolve ur char to become stronger, giving U an advantage against other players,
RP farming like tnite (prolly still goin on) is WRONG, it WILL get U more rp`s,, wether u get them urselves or some1 in ur grp kills some1,
Therefore to all those *its just a game* yea exactly play fair, giving urself an unfair advantage against others by cheating isnt exactly playing the game,,,
Sure duelling can be very fun,, but making an event outta it AND being told (by Matinex) NOT to tell anyone about it, is plain cheating,
Unless everyone in every realm is involved and all agree with it DONT do it,,

Same goes for all u nobs who hide in walls, target through doors and use any exploit to gain rp`s

Ive memorized alot of names of ppl who were there,, some of which im very surprised with,
NONE of you are welcome into our grps, wether we xp, item hunt or RvR

well when I was there around 90% of duels did not end up with death and its not RP farming, finally if you want to duel to death - its also not cheating as both sides have chanse to get RPs, but whats cheating if someone buys an account with high lvl char in enemy land, parks his char somewhere and allows someone to kill him - that would be cheating.
