Ok, I'll make this abit more polite than my last since it got closed >.<

The difference between the number of rps gained from old Emain and NF is stupid. Making 20k in 7 hours with 1 FG killing enough people to make 50k in old Emain is insane. Yes, go ahead and say it, stop killing noobs. But its only the rr2-5 zergs that ever bother to come play around with thier towers. Its not the higher rr players fault that thier opponents cant be arsed to get toa'd ect and be worthy opponents, yet we get slammed for it. They can kill a group just as a higher rr group can. Yet we get 100-150 rps instead of 220-270. Its just a slap in the face to people who have actually worked hard to get thier toon going.

iirc correctly they lowered this penalty (in 1.72?) because the us-players whined too much about it.

and yes, it sucks.

Farming brehons is rarely a challenge.
Farming brehons now gives less reward.

Exactly what is wrong with that?

Maybe its just me but I tend to play the game for fun. The fact that I can gain realm points is a by product of having this fun.

Oh btw, there wasn't just Old Emain you know, there used to be Old Hadrians Wall, Old Odins Gate, Old Pennine Mountains, Old Uppland etc... Emain wasn't the only zone for RvR in the old game, maybe for the zergers among us but not for all of us.

I cant really agree mate.. Ive never earned this many rps before.. im soloing alot tho so might be the reson.. But seems quite okay to me. made 15k in 35 min the other day from farming albs landing bolg shore from their ships ^^.. they do not see the lill luwi in the high grass, before bolts a flying ;)

Due to player feedback, we have made changes to the realm point earning system to lessen the penalty against higher realm rank players and to provide a bonus for lower realm rank players."

Less whine and more fun playing the game imo. If u dont like killing zergers then contact other 1337 set grps and have duells in a set area away from the zergers. If zergers show up change place. Not hard at all.

So what your saying in a round-about sort of way is that it's not fair your being penalised for ganking lowbie RR groups?

Call it what you want but a group of random low RR players don't stand any chance against the opted groups which terrorised Emain before NF and made RvR practically unplayable for people who just wanted to have fun, rather than roll as 'perfect gank group' classes and wtfpwn there way to RR12 in less time than it takes for HRH The Queen to orgasm.

Yes, it's probably too harsh - but like sombody said, it gets lessened in 1.72, think of it like PvE - you wouldn't expect the same amount of XP from a green con as you would from an orange would you?

There are 2 aspects to this:

1. It sucks when at the end of an evening, one person can have earned upto 25% more rp's than another in the same group simply because they are a few RR's higher. You've put in the same effort, why should you have less reward?

2. You can have a 20-30 minute battle against 3-5fg of RR2/3/4 characters and earn little more rp's than you can get for a 2-5 minute fight against 1fg RR6/7/8+ characters if you get a good jump on them. Again, the rewards aren't reflective of the time and effort expended in winning a fight.

The complaint is really that the current RvR reward system is unbalanced. Lower reward for killing lower level players is fair enough, but surely in a group they should use the groups average RR for the calculation, to reflect the group working together as a team, rather than penalising 1 member of the group more than another? And perhaps negating the penalty altogether when a group is outnumbered by more than 2:1?

i think creating a group average is a good idea, as this will try to include newer, less high rr players in more grps as the higher rrs will want to lower their grp average to earn more rps. maybe this would discourage high rr ppl from not accepting low rrs in their elite grp setups. Instead they would have to help low rrs to become better players(or maybe they'd find out that just cos ppl r low rr doesn't necessarily make them crap players in RvR)

In Sweden we are used to it, it's called "sosse-mentalitet", but it still sucks.
