wtf u on about? Rooney is nothin like Inzaghi. Inzaghi is a poor imatatin of Ian rush. Have you actually watched the england games during Euro 2004? The times he tripped on the ball was when he failed to bring the ball under control, it happens. What about when he picked the ball up just inside the french half, and went on that run that led to the penalty. He actually picked up Thuram, placed him in his pocket and off he went. Id love to see Inzaghi do that. And yes, Maradonna has played some great football. That mazy run where he took on 4 defenders. I went to watch Everton Vs Liverpool reserves back in 2001. On the everton teamsheet was a 15 year old called wayne rooney. He took the ball just inside liverpools half, skipped past Gerard, megged Redknapp, took it round Heggem then then chipped Vesterveld (sp) from just outside the box. He was 15!

I doubt he would outshine henry. Wayne rooney is good, but comparing him to thiery henry is fiction, Henry can go all the way from the defense and up to score a goal, like maradona. Wayne Rooney is an awesome player but nothing like that. England overrate their stars just like they do with beckham.

England wont win this EM they will go out vs. Portugal. If you noticed a real talent this EM it would be Christiano Ronaldo and not Wayne Rooney, scoring the goals is not always being the best.

He is the most overated player since Michael Owen. He needs to work on his end product, 9 times out of 10 his final pass goes astray. As for england getting beat by portugal, well, i think it will be cracking game, but portugals defense is the weak link for me, they just cant defend, and playing the tournaments top scorers wont do anything for their confidence. im going for 4-0 england.
