Day Break has been cancelled.

AFAIK, pulled not cancelled - which means the episodes have been produced, they just won't be aired anytime soon.

They won't be aired on TV. They're discussing whether it will be streamed on the website, which they've done for other cancelled programs before. Either way, it doesn't look like there will be another series, so have fun with a half finished story.

Yeah the first ep of series 2 was great I thought. No fucking about, straight into the action. Loads of blood and tits, at least they haven't changed the formula :D

Yup, fun start.

They still do the throat-slitting scenes beautifully
Dont they? :)

Blimey, that was pretty awesome

I never expected them to do the CGI thing. In the first series you never saw such battles, but that was just amazing. Really really well done to see such discipline on a large scale, very different from the usual 'CHARGE!' battles :)

Aye the battle seen was pretty impressive, not just the effects but scenes such as where they for Estudo (hope thats the right word, think its tortoise in english) and how they'd que up to switch to the front line intemittantly, they really did have baals of steel in those days. Liked the bit where Pullo killed Cisero (sp?) was quite sureal with how little malice was in it

Pity that this is going to be the last serise, really enjoyed it.

Just watched the last episode of season 2 and im very sad its now over :( Such a brilliant series and a very powerful last episode. Lets hope we get more historical drama of that caliber soon.

Aye, best serise I've seen in a long time. To be honest I'd like to see what they could do with a shogun remake with a similar budget and group of writers.

Isn't HBO making a series about the books "Song of Fire and Ice" next?

'The Tudors' is a worthwhile alternative. Its a bit muddled but lets see how it goes. Not to mention that The Sopranos is back :)

Have watched through season two over the last couple of weeks and it is brilliant television. There's so little worth watching these days - a real treat :)

HBO do have the rights to Ice & Fire - books that have characters more twisted than ancient rome. I do wonder how much of a positive effect the beeb had on Rome though and whether Ice & Fire will just get yankified (a word?) - I do hope not.

Ben.

P.S. If anyone knows who I lend my first edition of Game of Thrones to 8 years ago, please tell me. One was going for £350 on e-bay recently. I'd like to lynch the c*nt - got all the others in hard-back.
