Met up with my neighbours yesterday on the front step for girly gossip and general doings and the girl from upstairs said how one of the workmen opposite left a note on her car, she showed us and it was a really sweet "to the beautiful girl who drives this car..." note saying how when he saw her he'd never seen anyone so beautiful and he would like to get to know her etc etc and we were all like awww
anyway then after we all came indoors another note came through the door..."to the beautiful girl who lives in the top flat..." this time we weren't so aww we were a bit, hmm ok.
So anyway it set me thinking about the border between romantic and creepy, leaving a note on a car and waiting to see if the gal responds is romantic I think...demonstrating that you watch the house and someones windows to see what flat they live in...well thats a wee bit creepsome but could still be salvaged, personally though I think he should have left it at one note and seen if she got back to him.
However if it was me I'd think someone was taking the piss and probably get upset by it because i'd imagine all the workmen over there chuckling and waiting to see if the wierd ginger nerd replies and then go all Carry on me and dump pigs blood over my jimjams while I'm at the prom or something.
But anyway, she took it seriously so as guys if you saw someone and thought 'well helloo there my lovely' would you leave one note, two notes, actually come speak to them, I mean how would you show someone you don't know that you are interested?
Not speaking for all girls, just myself but I don't tend to do anything because I just naturally assume they are 1) not interested, 2) in a relationship but i'm waaay too shy to come out with the 'so got a gf then?' line...(because refer to option 1) or 3) prefer chaps. So I actually admire that bloke a bit for having the guts to actually identify himself and leave notes I mean its not as brave as coming and talking to her upstairs but its pretty brave.
