I'll still be around to duo mate, i'll be keeping Calmin melee / solo spec for awhile unless the usual set group suddenly start up again.

Just having a lot of fun on hib and needed a change....you know what its like, only so many times you can wait for RS, buff up, get a boat someplace then get blown away in 2 seconds by 3 RR3 casters before it gets annoying.

Little update we're all lvl 33 rhaar!

Couple of questions i couldnt find answers to online....

Whats the FOTM spec for our BB so that shes got good buffs but can be used to back up heal a little bit for tough artie encounters and such?

Secondly whats the FOTM spec for a druid who has a BB and wants to heal and root / interrupt in 8 man RvR

Thanks all

For your buffbot spec there are a few choices, I take 50 nurture for max buffs inc red resists and haste, and rely on spamming baseline small heal, which is more manna efficient than using spec heals in pve. Buffed pets will really appreciate red specs..

I think 44 nurture from memory gives you red int. Mages will really appreciate this. Yellow str/con and d/q sorta cap out with decent TOA buffs, so you dont really need red versions. Take yellow d/q,s/c and red int, dump the rest in reg and youll be quite a viable rvr druid as well as a buffbot.

I guess many would say you could go down to yellow int, but mages will look at you funney and start canceling your int boofs ;)

Cant really help you with nurture spec, I would guess 50 nurture rest reg could be fun, but im clueless when it comes to complex druid specs ;)

The true buffbot spec still remains 50 nurt for the red haste. If you want a part time buffbot with full rvr potential go 44 nurture 31 reg , all it lacks compared to 50 nurt is 2 red resist buffs and red haste and dex/qui, but all buffs will reach the maximum with 25 BB.
You'll get 4 or 7 nature as well, which gives you the first AE-root, all you need to interrupt yourself, your pet will be a 1 or 2 shot wonder though.

As for any other spec, I wouldn't drop Nurture below yellow d/q ( 39 nurt), unshearable castspd 4tehwin.

So even if i make a druid with his own BB you're saying to keep nurture high so that i cant be sheared due to self buffs?

I really hadnt considered that tbh...i was thinking big heals and some insta root love but i guess heals + shearing and lowest ae root might be the way forward

Moving on, how do chanters spec these days for RvR. Do people want mana bombs or light nukes. I see the highest spec light nuke is 45 so i assume chanters go 45 light rest mana for the heat debuff, doesnt this mean it gets uber resisted? casting a lv 27 spell at lv 50 targets sounds a bit painfull.
Perhaps ppl go 39 light rest mana and rely on the base nuke lowering it further as RR increases.

Again thanks in advance for replies

Always prefered mana and relying on debuff+base DD myself. The best spec probably being last PB (think thats 48 from memory) rest light mainly to improve variance in baseline DD.

For a light mage I would pick eld for more tools or even mentalist for more fun/options.

yeah for a chanter, mine is 49 mana rest light (to help with variance)
The stun, heat debuff and baseline nuke are fairly formidable with a good castspeed, aug dex and wp. (your looking to deliver damage as fast as possible with nice damage spikes so healers cant keep up or it takes them by suprise and target is dead before they can switch and start healing), though many people yell when stunned and heat debuffed that heavy damage is inc on them.
However ive found the chanter to be a one trick pony, the spec is good for having a bb and farming or doing rvr but you really notice the lack of secondary CC. (kite ftw :/)

if you want a light spec, then eld is far far superior (also have a 50 light eld) with top specc dd, aoe mez, a host of tricks, stun and nearsight, its an awsome line with very good versatility.
