Roleplayers wanted...

Shameless pimpage, I know, but we were recently chatting to someone in Camelot who said he thought the Order of the Knights Templar, Prydwen's largest (only?) roleplaying guild was closed and not recruiting. This can't be further from the truth. Our twin goals are to bring together as many roleplayers as possible in Albion to provide a large and diverse roleplaying community, while at the same time becoming a real force in RvR (which we're now achieving with our allies the Griffon Knights).

If you want roleplay (staying in-character, not talking in "thee's" and "thou's"), a friendly, mature and large guild (currently 90 members and 150 characters), and to be part of a disciplined frontier force, then contact any Templar in-game and they'll point you to the nearest officer for an opening chat. Expect to be quizzed and maybe even asked to undertake the odd task. Willingness to stay in-character and ability to speak English is the only essential. Levels, classes and nationality are irrelevant.

If you want to talk about the World Cup over the guild chat, then, err, we're probably not the guild for you. But good luck anyway !

Check out www.knightstemplar.cc have a look at the laws and charter and see what you like as a first step.

I am not a full time roleplayer, but if I was and was unguilded I would definitely be knocking on the door of The Order of the Knights Templar. I have seen these guys in action in the frontiers and they certainly are pretty damned awesome. Highly recommended.....

Good luck to you, sir!

Like jup said....under different circumstances, I would jump at the chance to join you guys...especially as I am now officially bored of bloody lvling, and roleplaying would be something to bring the interest of the game back for me.....

I do'nt know all the templars, but everyone that i have met has been extremely friendly or helpful.
If i ever find myself unguilded the Templars would be the first choice for a new guild. :)

At the risk of sounding ungracious - or nipping any new recruits in the bud - I'm very grateful on behalf of the Guild for all these generous comments. But I do want to emphasise that I have fought with many people of many guilds, and very, very few are anything other than extremely pleasant, even if they speak a mobile-phone txt language that I'm far too old to understand !

Roleplayers I would always encourage to come to us. But non-roleplayers I would have no hesitation in pointing in the direction of our allies the Griffon Knights, or any of the Pheonix Legion, Chaos Fellowship or Britain's Elite Army. And that's not an attempt to be exclusive. It's just those guilds who I probably speak to the most.

Hmm, if I ever do find myself being without a guild this is where I will look. But I wonder do you people have a naming policy? I mean my characters are in the direction of... "Bulls Eye" and "Merciless Mercenary"...
I am able to stay in-character and I suppose I can rp aswell.
Just wondering... I mean I still have a guild :)

Yes, we do have a naming policy. I'm not aware of a roleplay guild without one. We treat each name on a case-by-case basis and if people can come up with a legitimate RP story for a dubious name, then we'll give them a go. Sadly, "Chick Sexybabe" just didn't cut the name mustard....

I know it's evil, but I'm just SO tempted to create a character called Chick Mustardcutter and apply to be a Templar... ;)

Well if you can come up with some story about your parents being slain by trolls/dwarfs/goblins/frogs ;) while you were just a baby, so you never had a real name, and was just named Bulls Eye after you unnerving accuracy with a bow....then I reckon you would probably get away with it ;)
