I thought the last one had it's issues definitely. Loved the performance from the black guy, also the pilot ace, they had great chemistry, also Daisy Ridley. Harrison Ford did a good job as well.

The eeeevil Kylo Ren was mostly dissatisfying to me. A real good lightsaber-fight scene was also sorely missed. Would have loved to see the black guy getting all powerful and do some kickass moves.

On the whole I liked Episode VII. However it was indefinably....Disney-ish. Something not quite right about it. Also, Kylo Ren foricibly reminds me of Anakin Skywalker, or at least Hayden Christensen's portrayal of him. Gave the impression of a whiney little bitch with daddy issues.

Rogue one looks pretty good though. Rogue One, Rey's mum maybe?

Problem with episode VII is that you hate the baddie because he's a knob, not because he's a baddie. That and JJ Abrams doing his usual "maguffin your way out of plot holes" shtick.

looks really good it could actually be better than force awakens i know star wars to the majority is all about luke and darth vader etc but the universe is so much richer im glad they are doing this film its different.

Well I'm in. Only watched The Force Awakens last weekend which I enjoyed. Although I was really disappointed that Luke only made a cameo appearance.
I wish they would do an epic TV series, it would certainly rival GoT. (I'm re-watching the last couple of episodes to refresh my memory and moist for the new series.)

I want the end of Rogue One to be her escaping with the plans, while Darth Vader appears and single handedly wipes out the Bothan spies. I hope they make a seriously dark, evil and scary as fuck Darth Vader. Not as in Episode IV, where he waves a shiny stick around, but someone who can crush spines with his fist, throw giant rocks at ships, etc.

I'm totes with you on the dark and evil. I'm kind of hoping for a really dark and gritty Star Wars ep. Some of the books are pretty harsh (-ish) re what goes down. Tbh the first three, eg 4-5-6 were also pretty dark in places. What irks me is that the rebellion is so squeaky clean. I mean, they are rebels are they not? When I saw the dude in pilot gear and dreads running, dirty face and all I had some hope, but tbh I think it's going to be another PG-3 or whatevs because Lucas faps to stacks of money -.-
