i think you should watch pure pwnage. going from memory, jeremy gets an email that reads something like

"my brother says pwn like own, instead of pwn."

then jeremy says it out loud

im more inclined to believe jeremy. im also sure i read somewhere the origin of pwn was a misspelling of own as the keys are right next to each other. then people kept typing it on purpose.
