Robot Wars Uk Website - Ideas?

There's not really a "community" web site for robot wars in the UK and I was thinking of developing a site to fill that gap. Inside interviews with the teams, columns, news, forums, video clips, links etc.

Looking for people with ideas to develop this idea, if interested please pop a note in this thread:

you see the problem is , if you work lol or not with IT shit and all your m8's do the same you then think everybody can do it, but that's not the case. did you know someppl do not even have a computers, and loads that do, do not know how to work them.

Played Nick. I also reckon Stu is a total wanker, and like all people like him he has his little sheep that follow him about and agree with whatever he says. What's really sad is that he kisses the arse of those people that have 'power' on qnet and in turn gets control over things he shouldn't have control over, and then abuses it. For someone that claims to be so 'clever' and 'mature' it's a shame that he insists on hiding away all those 'nice' properties he allegedly has, and most of us only get to see the Mr 'I'm never wrong and even if I am I won't admit it.'

Funnily enough, at exactly the same time a very good friend of mine, whose opinion I respect a great deal, said exactly the same thing.

Take from that what you will.

The one thing I will say though, is Nick if you honestly believe I have somehow conspired to have you removed as an op from #quake3.uk or something, then you have a much bigger chip on your shoulder than I imagined. It's bordering on conspiracy theory.

Like I've said a thousand times, I have nothing to do with #quake3.uk, I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I've joined it in the past 6 months, and it's not been to spam or cause trouble. Why would I bother? But you haven't believed me the past 30 times I've told you, so why would you start now.

Bizarrely I took what Stu said to be a response to my earlier post, I'm not entirely sure why - perhaps it was the fact he said my name, "Daz", that swung it. In any case, the reference to "0wnertron 2000" was in reference to a conversation we had previously had on IRC regarding making our own robot. Thus what he said made perfect sense to me, and was well within the context of this thread (which is about Robot Warz, although Im sure you and others would love to go off on another "hahah your so lame Stu!!!!" tangent). Naturally I wouldn't have expected you to have thought of this in light of the above.

As for Kryten and Vectrex, you could argue that you are actually perpetuating the whole "anti Stu" bandwagon. There tends to be 3 types of comments about *anyone* controversial on these boards,

* From those that are patently retarded (or should I say "mentally disadvantaged". They have no valid argument so resort to mindless (misspelt) abuse.

* From those aspiring to the dizzy heights of "+v on #barrysworld", who take any and every oppurtunity to derise anything vaguely controversial, whilst no doubt telling anyone who'll listen (on #barrysworld obviously) "heheh look at this lads, I just took the piss out of X"

is it? So no, you couldn't argue that. I do wind Stu up, and yes he does really fucking irritate me at times, but at the end of the day it's not real life is it? I'd guarrentee that if Stu and myself were ever to meet, which will no doubt happen sometime, we'd be civil to each other and all the shit from 'this place' wouldn't even be mentioned. Online I reckon Stu is a wanker, and I know a whole load of people think that I'm a wanker too. But I don't care. I know Stu doesn't care that some people think he's a wanker. We both wind each other up and that's just the way it is. I agree that people that just post inane drivel on these boards purely to jump on the bandwagon should be shot (or at the very least have their balls/breasts - or both in some cases - cut off with a blunt instrument), but what I said was totally valid - Stu does have a 'group' who do indeed treat his words as gospel - the whole [SOUND] thing in q2.uk proved that, as it's perfectly all right for Stu's mates to do it, but god help anyone else who does, and I do think that Stu is a wanker online sometimes, along with numerous others.

Maybe you're right, maybe the whole Stu thing should be left alone. As long as he continually takes the piss out of anyone outside his 'circle' it won't though. He brings it on himself.
