they seem to be bidding on anyone and anything that has said they want to leave their clubs though (Berbatov, Robinho, Villa, Gomez etc)

Well your updates are poo Tali, Beeb and skysports and setanta have all been reporting that berba has been at a medical all day. He met with fergie to talk terms after that, and was pictured at the stadium at about 9pm.

The man city robinho story is being reported by the AS spanish paper.

From all the reports the only club Berb is allowed to talk too to is City and they are pissed off that Utd have talked to him. Not 100% though.

Do you really think SAF would get Berbatov to go through a medical etc without getting permission? especially with everything that has gone on.

Because the bids accepted doesn't mean Robinho would agree to go.

He wants to come to England to link up with Scolari.

Yes he has the ego to think he would get away with it. Not saying its true but i do believe Ferggie would play games to force a transfer.

lol Robinho's actually gone there? What a mercenary ... Man City will still end up nowhere near the champions league positions. Which is a shame tbf, we badly need the strangehold broken in this country.

Was hoping Villa might make a big name signing this evening but looks unlikely now.

I know this isn't about Robinho but the whole Berbatov striker is ridiculous. If Man United/City wanted to buy a striker for £30mill there are much better choices (some considerably cheaper), especially for Man United (as they'll probably be able to attract the bigger stars).

Hmm, an unpleasant suprise but perhaps we were infact better off not having him.

Seems Man City just put a bid in for the hell of it; having tabled bids for Berbatov, Villa and Gomez as well. Throwing money at whoever they can to play for them, it's like Spurs but up north ;)

Poor SWP, he was transferred because Robinho was taking his place, then he goes to the same club.

Madrid's 'outrage' is unbelievable hypocrisy though, after everything that went on with Ronaldo, they have the audacity to say its wrong to publicy state an interest in a player?

On the bright side hopefully it'll mean we see more of Fabio Paim this year, if Scolari can channel his talent and temperament it may be a better purchase than Robinho.

As long as he (Robinho) is happy playing Uefa cup football every few years then fair play to him, i don't see Man City breaking the top 4 with one new signing.

I do wonder what Kenyon will have to say on the matter though, the guys an utter slimeball and i'd love nothing more than Roman's men to sort him out :D

loved the new owners first comment though. We have big pockets. No fucking shit, these guys make abramovich's wealth look like pocket money. He's worth like 23billion these guys 600+billion. Let's see who they can buy to win the title as Chel$ki did.

Will be more fun having a big 5 instead of the big 4 though. Guessing it might take some time to, i don't see their plans of winning the league next year and champions league the year after happening at all to be honest, not unless they spend a billion or so.

Pretty shocked and annoyed at losing Robinho to city though. There's simply no reason for him to of done it other than a bit of extra money, i bet his agent is laughing as his ass off now.

Poor old shaun-wright-philips, sold by Chelsea because Robinho was to replace him and now he's been replaced straight away :p

No one really though Chel$ki getting money would change things at first but throw enough money at a team and you turn them from also rans to champs. This Summer Jose to City to do it again ;)

And if City suddenly challenge for the league yes i will hate them :)
