This is an awesome film, possibly the the best film of the year.
had me grinning from start to finish, I highly recommend you all go and see it as soon as you can
Tim Burton's Planet Of The Apes sucked monkeyballs. The originals were good fun (and incidently part of the reason Star Wars got made). Been hearing/reading lots of good reports of this one but must admit not in any great hurry to see it.
Don't think of it as a prequel to other films (especially the shite that was Tim Burtons mess of a film), it's a reboot and a very very good one, i'd say its better than the Batman reboot.
After Tim Burton's farrago this wasn't on my radar at all, but its getting really good reviews so I might have to find the time to go watch it. Still want to see Cowboys & Aliens more though.
very good film, great reboot, and they made it believable as these things go; no silly space travel or alternate universes. The emotion displayed by the ape characters was great.
Some of the CGI animation is a bit ropey at times too, any attachment you get to the young Caesar is swiftly evaporated when he grins like a cartoon character, I don't think they plotted jaw bones into his model. When he is older it looks top notch though.
Fabulous film, had me in its grip from beginning to end. Some excellent performances by the cast, John Lithgow was particularly good. An intelligent Hollywood blockbuster, who'd have thunk!
Couldn't quite understand why Draco Malfoy would use a water gun on an ape when a cruciatus curse would have been far more painful, other than that cracking film.
