Most of you wont know/care but this happened in my home town to someone only a year older than my eldest.

Bad accident indeed, but some comfort can be taken in it being just that. Dying whilst doing something you enjoy (theres nothing anti-social about fishing, it's a fantastic sport and should be enjoyed by more youngsters this age to teach patience and peace) is far more preferable than, as Ch3t said, getting knifed, slashed, bottled or otherwise beaten by drunkard/voilent morons.

It's always difficult when you think "christ, he was only a year away from me/my kids", especially if they may have known eachother.

On a similar not, I got into work this morning to be greeted by an e-mail saying a member of our High-Value Retention team had passed away on the way into work on Saturday. He was 23. Things like that really put a different perspective on a Monday.....

Its a different fucking colour than my other grass though and it grows twice as fast

youll find that over time the grass will blend - grass is self seeding so it will "transfer" seeds between the different sides (if the birds dont get em first)
