He's kicked the bucket at 83. Very sad, such a gentleman and someone who got me interested in drawing.

No you didn't, you still haven't grown up.

But yes, very sad, I used to love watching his shows as a little kid. Shame I had absolutely no aptitude for anything arty.

A decent innings for a very talented man but still very sad to see him go.

A lot of today's children's art programmes have their roots in Take Hart.

This was so sad when i just read it, really upsetting. I knew he had been i'll for a long time, saying he couldn't draw anymore cos of the 2 strokes he had had.

It must have been soul destroying for him not to be able to create anymore, again this is someone i grew up with watchig on tv as a child

So so sad, RIP Mr Hart

A definite shame, indeed I grew up watching that show and many a time sat in front of the telly armed with various paints, brushes, gluesticks and glitter :D

I'm gutted, he was one of those TV presenters who didn't hog the limelight but made sure that his artwork was the thing on display. A genius with any medium from paintbrush to white line machine, he made everyone think they could draw and demonstrated everyone could to an extent with his viewers pics gallery.

I watched him from Vision On and would agree Wilf Lunn and Syvester Mcoy were fab as well.

I learnt of his passing when flicking to BBC News24, they showed a cracking montage of his best moment over the years, fond memories.

He cheated on the Origami, you could see the crease lines. Nevertheless, many happy days trying to make little paper animals after watching Vision On. RIP
