yes, people can be overzealous in calling someone or something racist. however, it doesn't change the fact that used in particular contexts - are you familiar with this term? - words such as paki, ****** or even honkey can be extremely offensive.

I do not agree with kicking out people who a) have been here for years and have put money into the system, b) are benefitting the health, doctors, lawyers, nurses etc.

Never found him very funny tbh. I went to the Embassy Club years ago when I was a student, and in his defence he was an equal opportunities piss-taker, he gave us a hard time for being students (but Steve Coogan did that particular shtick a million times better and far more accurately), but as I recall he had a pop at pretty much everybody.
