never had the cash to buy 3dfx cards when i had my 486 we just dreamed of connecting 2 voodoo cards together. it's a savage world , when AMD buy INTEL and then AMD and Nvidia become AmdNvidia.

If Nvidia did buy ATI, i guess with the lack of compotition the price of the NV20 would be sky high.

I am gunna buy a geforce 2 Ultra (or gts depending on my cash status) a few weeks after the NV20 has come out because preices will prop a lot. No game is going to come out that can only run on computers running NV20's and R200 because that would only be about 1% of the potential market. I think that the GF2 will be alive for a long time yet.

Christ Quorthon do you work for nVIDIA or something? Yes, nVIDIA are making inroads into ATi's market share, but as ATi are making inroads into nVIDIA's market and other markets aswell, I somehow still doubt this takeover will be happening any time soon. Or at all in fact.

hehe no Bodhi, far from it, and I have owned vid cards from nvidia (tnt,gf) , 3dfx (voodoo 2) & ati (early rage). I am just interested thats all - I hope competition remains alive so that Pressure is kept up on Nvidia to maintain their 6 mth release cycle.
