iam sat here now wanting to play on gorre, after waiting about 3-4 week for it being french/german, french got two week, german got about 1, we so far have had 24 hours, before this happens

isn't this not what lothian is for?
its understandable that french and german need longer for testing because of language translations, not much translation between american and english.

GMS/DEVs should stick to messing around on the server they have rather than taking away gorre from us english server people, i myself think it sucks, feel free to flame me all you want since that seems to be all you lot are good at

hope GOA remember they have a INTERN test server and bugger off to let us play on gorre

Gorre is also going to be the PvP test server once 1.52 is patched. Also a good thing. Gorre isn't your personal test server for respec options, please remember peeps on Prydwen didn't even get to test Gorre at all. So stfu and stop being so short sighted and selfish. kthxbye.

Pin i think everyone knows about that, we are the customers however and we are the ones with the cash, so if we wanna try gorre for abit more then 1day i think we have a right to do so. They could just wait with the internal testing a few more days imo.

My point is really that they probably found a bug and are fixing it as you flame. It'll likely be put back up in a short while and you might even be lucky and have them wiped the database, recopied from Excalibur and get to test another spec option.

Besides, very few people have had any opportunity to play around testing respecs on a test server, so count yourselves lucky (as chesnor said)

Muhahaha This must be the dumbest reply i ever saw. You even think you pay for the test servers ? Man, i remember those were CLOSED and INTERNAL servers only. Be glad you even got 1 day on it. It's a GOA Test Server not a Players Test Server

True at that Danyan, but many also have a point. As Gorre is a tet server for players, it should be meant as a test server for all players. Personally, I will not have the chance to test out a respecc if Gorre only stays open for UK player database for 2 or 3 days. And I do think some or many other players will feel a bit left out in the cold and with a lot of questions about respecc. After all, this is a VERY highly anticipated patch and tho I, in general, never give comments on GOA simply because I think they are getting the job done and I'm happy with knowing just that, this thread does have its point.

*shrug* I'd have liked to test respec on my minstrel, but I didn't have the chance at all. So you'll excuse me if I have little sympathy for little children (not you, the first few posters) coming here and throwing a temper tantrum because GOA didn't leave Gorre open.

pin r you that stupid to think that we can find all the bug in 1 day on gorre as laand said french got 2 weeks germans 1 week and were epected to find all the bugs and report them in 1 day on gorre get real man the idea for gorre is to find all bugs and get them fixed unless ever char rom excal moves to goore for the short time we get it there is no way we can find em all that means we will have bugs in game till next patch like we had when we got 1.50 it has taken them till 1.52 to ficx them.
4-5 days and maybe lie 90% of all bugs could be found but 1 day maybe 20%

Its a test server, there is nothing in license agreement that says they must provide a server for you to play around with the upcoming changes on.

GOA provide it for those that want to aid them in testing upcoming patches, by doing so it increases the speed with which problems are encountered and means that their staff can concentrate on the important things like fixing bugs and keeping the non-test servers running smoothly.

Its primary function is NOT to help you work out what is best for your characters.

GOA are mainly concerned with bugs caused by the migration to the French/German language versions, most 'bugs' in the english version should of already been picked up during Mythic's testing on the american servers.

Agreed.

There is alot of talk about how people should have the right to test there new char specs out on Gorre. Now they moan about the fact that because there are no bugs or indeed an bug has been found and it is being fixed the server is down. IMO stop acting like children (Apart from the under 13's that is)

What about all the people on the servers that do not have their charactor databases loaded onto Gorre. They get not testing prior to patching. Think yourselves lucky that you are on a server that was chosen.

Being a part of the Goa Eyes and Ears group I can tell you there is alot of people on other servers complaining that they do not get pre patch testing. It could be that in the future the databases are on a rota system and then you would get no testing time at all.

The purpose of Gorre is find and fix bugs prior to patch. As the English version is closest to the American it will have less bugs. All the major bug will have been ironed out on the American servers and fixes pre installed prior to gorre opening. Gorre is not meant to be a place to play with ur specs etc, its there for testing the patch.

I dont think that Goa will give a minutes thought to anyone moaning about their so called allocated slot on Gorre.

You can never find all the bugs.

The main reason why French and German databases on Gorre run longer is to find bugs related to translation issues. German localisation is very susceptible to generating random errors after translation (pure or coded). If the test results are satisfactory, why would they wait to patch the real servers ?

As some say, yes, it would have been nice to test out a respecc but its not a must. We have the patch live now and it's a matter of being carefull and make a 100% sure you're really going ffor respecc.
