Heh. The Ruskies kept a subscription model when the rest of Rift had gone F2P. I wouldn't really say this is newsworthy or an indication of the imminent demise of Rift since all it shows is a failure of the Russian operator to move with Trion. In the article it even says Russian players were migrating to the F2P version rather than play the localized version which was subscription based.
