Just saw this job in my local newspaper for a ticket inspector on my local train transport system. They are offering 20k (£) to do the job. LMFAO all they do is travel on the train all day, check tickets and givf out fines for the fair dodgers. Money for old rope if you ask me Oo.

So true, I may even apply for the job seeing as I will be doing nothing important and getting paid handsomely for it xD

20k is a lot i agree, probably a good starter for someone beginning their career. though i wouldnt want to live on less than 28-30 for the rest of my life.

I think it's mainly for job security and a lucrative wage for what can be a job filled with potentially violent drunk youths.

It's a regular occurance on trains where a bunch of chavs who've had a little bit too much to drink decide to take their aggresion out on a poor sod doing his job.

Well, i think this is one of those "try it before judging it" jobs.

It must be rather annoying, with all the drunks, off hours, nightshifts, walking back and forth the same hallway(technically) all the time, saying the same thing over and over, asking each individual where/how/when, dealing with foreign languages.

I wouldn't say 20k is too much, but, then again judging salaries for different jobs is like judging sexual experiences of different couples.

good point. i remember on a train to manchester some drunkard was being quite intimidating and started to focus on a woman sat on her own.
the camp as you like ticket inspector managed to calm him down in a matter of moments though, takes a fair bit of skill imo.
