I don't know if any of you remember Gimpfarfar Widebranch...gimped kobold hunter...
I quit playing DAoC maybe...6 months ago, or something, due to the ever increasing lameness in Midgård...
I was sick of the lame xp-crazy morons without any perspective...
I was sick and tired of the lists in Malmohus, and the corruption that surrounded it...
And I'm not even going to mention Darkness Falls...
[More Random Whining occurs]

So... does any veterans know if the situation has improved over the months that have passed?
Is it worth paying all that money again, and coming back?

havent been in malmo for like half a year or so
but judging from posts on barryswhine forums and general degradation of ppl i would say it's even worse out there

I assume you had problems getting a group in Malmo because you were a Hunter?

We have to accept the fact that getting groups in Malmo will always be difficult for stealthers. In contrast, I have read other posts by stealth classes in the other realms having the same problem, it's not just in Midgard. Yes it's frustrating but you have to work to find ways around it. When I reached level 41 I camped myself in Malmo, forgot about RvR, and stayed there until I reached 50. That way I managed to meet the same people everytime I logged on and found it easier to get groups, as well as starting early in the day while groups were forming helped too.

Being list holder in Malmo was hard work. I held it once or twice and had up to 30 odd names, then being PM'd every 5 or 10 minutes asking if their was a space. Phew! Left in the hands of someone disorganised, disfunctional or lazy problems will occur. And that's what can happen sometimes.

There are now alternative areas to fight in SI, so perhaps you should purchase the SI expansion pack and see what you think of the changes.

we work like a realm now and got 2Power Relics and 3Strenght Relics thanks to Ardamel, Mirak and Dargir

i remember you gimpfarfar :)

you were in lair when i was levelling my skald to 50 there. i'm levelling another character to 50 there now. it's a shadowblade and he's at level 48.8 now. i'm sorry to say that malmo hasn't changed very much. the list, the bitternes and all that is still there =/

to some extent it's actually worse because of all the whores only willing to make pbaoe groups and thus denying lots of classes the chance to join and get xp (sb & hunters for the most part).

sorry to say mate :(

it would be nice if you came back tho :)

XP in Darkness Falls, silly money, XP and the odd realm point.

I think DF is a good choice. Might be slower but its more fun, more money and some rps on the way. And also the new SI areas should give some new options. Lair, well i think it was worth it even as an sb. It wasnt fun, but u bite together for 50-60 hours and lvl. At 50 you dont need to care about the xpwhores, the rp whores and all the other idiots. Espiacially as a stealther the chance of soloing is great. Hunters might be gimps, but they will improve in coming patches.

And as chosen said up there, we have great teamwork now in mid. Ardamel toghether with AB and the rest of the officers in LFoM has showed midgard that we can do anything. We took 3 relics from albion in one sweep, althou we didnt intend to take all three it showed that we are equal to albion althou they are almost 50% of the server lvl 50s. Come back and try, join a nice guild and some motivation you will like it again :)

It wasn't hard getting groups, actually. Sure, I had to wait an insane amount of time as everyone else...but what pissed me off is the people down there.

It was just so freaking sad to see how they were totally absorbed by DAoC. So absorbed they can't seem to understand that it's a GAME and you play it for FUN.
I guess the true human nature really shows when you're anonymous :)

After the replies, I'm not really eager to come back (thanks Xarr, though ;) )...but I'll see if I'll drop in when Housing is implemented...I'll just have to see that, no matter how many 12-year-old tards I'll have to wade through to get there.

I remember you also, been a while though :)
I can say that hunters are much better now, with the shout pet and better spear damage,
Us hunters are not gimped imo just get good sc gear and work up a decent spec and you'll be haveing assasins as breakfast.

In other words, Come back :D Midgard needs more good hunters.

XP in DF m8 :) uber xp n cash - so easy with trust - tempters 43+ and eventually drinkers when u 49. Thrust screws 'em :)
