I paid good money for a reactive self melee-health buffer proc on my gloves. Now... first of all i was told it didnt work on mobs. Today it procced on a mob. So i had the icon up on screen... but WTF does it do? Anyone know exactly what its supposed to be doing for me?

you absorb a certain about of dmg for about 30 secs. i dunno what the value is but say its 100 health buffer - you will absorb 100hp of dmg before you start taking any more dmg again.

Nice to see people bother to ask or look things up before spending good money.

/sarcasm off

It lasts 10 mins OR until you absorb 100 points of dmg, whichever happens first.

While the buff is in effect 50% of all dmg is taken by the ablative and you take teh remainder, so get hit for 400 dmg you take 300, buff takes 100 and vanishes.

If you take 70 dmg, buff takes 35 and you take 35, leaving 65 for any future hits or until the buff expires...got it?

Oh btw, effects and reverse procs work in RvR and PvE EXCEPT reactives procs on shields, which only work in RvR, effects on shields work fine in either case.
