Misquoted. He was asking "Are you new to the guild?" and I presume he was checking out whether it was an old member's alt or something in which case they would have probably got a slap rather than a boot from the guild. Ie. someone of long standing service to the guild might be cut a little slack compared to someone who only just joined and is still being observed/tested for their merit. Hmm hope I made myself clear I'm hungover

edit: oh and btw Brunore did you ever read the replies you got to your stroppy post on the HH recruitment forum? Ppl only wanted some more details of you as a person etc. They recruit people not avatars if you get what I mean. Btw I'm in KN now so dont mind me LOL

As of guilds with rules, its cool you can have rules but dont confuse rules with laws. Think of rules as guidelines insted, you are dealing with poeple not slaves (ffs). Put down some _GUIDELINES_ for people to act by and they'll do it 90% of the time. the last 10% is saved for the times when some little redneck d00d steals your camp and he blows you in the face with a "STOP CAMPING HERE FFS" (stop spamming ffs) and you answer him back in the same tone as he puts up.

so remeber:
Laws == bad
Guidelines == good
Spamming /y /emot == bad
Jumping around like a mad == fun ... eh I meen bad

Yes spamming is a pain in the ass, but tell poeple in a nice tone the firste time ... this goes times 3 for officers and GM's as they are surpose to be mature poeple.

It all seems a bit silly to me, both the emote spamming, the method of asking him to stop, the kicking from the guild, and the posting on here that he got kicked from the guild... I myself am an officer of a fairly large guild and if I would've seen him emote spamming he would probably of received the harsh punishment of me saying 'call down a bit mate, emote spamming can be a bit annoying sometimes for other people'.

Sounds like a nice officer. I agree with the above. Two people were rude to each other. The officer uses his rank and not his brain or communication skills to deal with it. I hope you all werent waiting outside df from 7-9.30. Sorry but thats kinda dumb.
