I'm still leveling (R35RR36) at the moment, but you can find me there (Order-Side) on my Warrior Priest Leofric.

I tried it about a year ago, it was still being built up/buggy, how is it now and do they have enough people playing?

Well, it's still pretty buggy/laggy at times. But for a freeshard, it's pretty stable.
Most lag is caused by load issues, actually. There''s a LOT of players on there.
Around 3k players every night.
