Mainly due to RL commitments i can't really continue to play Daoc. I was enjoying NF and actually liked being able to do something more than the occasional Relic defence or stand at MTK trying to get a group for 2 hours before running out solo and being ganked by the alb stealthzerg or killed in under a second by a hib caster group.

It's been a fun few years and i might end up coming back. Going to give WoW a go purely as it seems it can be played casually, but in all honesty i want to start playing a lot less and doing stuff IRL more. Concentrate on my new job, start going out to gigs again and start taking photograhs again more seriously.

I've been thinking about this for a while, but friends in game always made me come back, but these days there aren't that many of my old realm mates about and all my RL friends quit a long time ago. Thanks to all the people i've grouped with, it's been a great time. Especial thanks to anyone from initial retail who is still here who remembers the days of running out to emain when still under lvl 20, those who helped me level to 50, those who took pity on my poor gimp and let him leech some Arrpees.

Especial thanks to my brothers in arms, from the short lived Jotun Horde, the long lived and much missed Ghosts of Valhalla, the Brotherhood of Midgard and finally in Sarumans Hand, you've all been great, through the good and the bad times.

There are things i wish i'd ashieved, like finally getting ML9 finished or getting to RR5, but i just don't have the time or the inclination any more.

Farewell midgard, see you all in the halls of Valhalla for mead, wenches and war.

I might well log in just for the odd raid before my subs run out as i may well come back to the game later on and would like to be ml9 for that.

Thanes might not be the strongest and most acomplishing hero's in the lands of midgard but they are with no doubt the strongest by heart!
