1st is 70% or above. Only about 5-6 people get this in a year
2.1 is 60% - 69 they're more common
2.2 50% - 59
3rd 40% - 49
fail - 39% or under

Problem with law is its so competitive that people wont look at you if you dont have a 2.1 so it was quite important.

Oh I see. Why isnt a fail from 40-49% aswell btw? I mean, below 50 seems a standard fail to me

40% and above is considered a pass to move on to the next year but it's just a pass, being a 3rd. in your first year in the UK your results dont contribute to your overall degree so 40% or higher means you can move on to the second year, but really you wanting to be getting atleast a 2:2
