we are not powerlevelrs, just organized and work well together, and ye, play some 2. but pff, hell would u know.

Yet another unnnecessary negative post about SotL.

Griffon Knights is, I'm sure, a great guild with a great GM so I totally understand your commitment.

SotL is another great guild.... if it wasn't, why would people:

a) Want to join, and

b) Not be leaving them


Give the Servants a break guys... they get too much bad press and it isn't needed.

Oh, and by the way, Phoenix Legion is a great guild too ;)

I don't think he meant it has a negative post though, English is not his mother tongue and I know he has nothing against sotl.

Lets not turn this into an anti sotl thread.
The GKs do not have any problem whatsoever with sotl, and I can see no reason why we ever will.

If all guilds were the same, there would only be one guild and a very boring realm.

Agreed, no need to discuss sotl yet again. However, Farquad, much as we are friendly in-game, you do not know what you are talking about.

Its crisp, clean, tidy, umm, whatever, yes. This for us leads to more fun than anything else. You say fun isn't in there???? Tonight we took down all 3 realms Princes, made our way to Legion killing a lot of Mids on the way and for me, was the most FUN night so far in DaoC.

Hmm, been thinking about it again and I think it has all to do with this Dutch saying ;) (k here it comes :p) so in Dutch its:
Hoge bomen vangen veel wind.
That makes in English:

Well, I've been a member of GK for quite a while now and I really love the guild and it's members.
We try to do a lot of things together as a guild or with the Templars and we try to have fun doing them.
I'm absolutely sure that SoTL also has fun doing all the hunts they organise and I must say I've seen them on some of their hunts and they really enjoy themselves.

I think almost every guild tries to have fun in it's own way and enjoy the game to it's full extend. And if I have to be honest I have to say that SoTL really enjoy the game to it's full potential (apart from roleplay perhaps) since they did a lot of things on the server as the first ones and had fun doing it.

The same goes for GK, we also try to do a lot of things we never done before, especially now that we have more and more level 50's every day and we can have a go at the harder challenges as a guild or with the Templars as an alliance.

So who really cares if SoTL had the most level 50's first, that doesn't mean they are just a bunch of powerlevelers, they also tried the most new things first and thus had more chances of getting xp faster. It could have been any other guild in Albion under the right leadership and then that guild would get all the flames and complaints just because people are jealous.

I grouped a few times with some members of SoTL and so far I haven't had any complaints about them at all. They are a great bunch of people that know the game and know how it works.

My feelings about GK are the same, it's also a great guild with a lot of members that know the game and younger members that learn new things every day and grow into the game more and more. This could never happen without great leadership (thanks Gondo and Greyshade) but this could also never happen without respect for other guilds and as far as I know GK has never had any real problems with other guilds (aside from maybe a complaint about a member but which guild doesn't get a complaint once in a while).
Now, I'm not a leader of GK and can't and won't speak in name of the guild. I'm just giving my opinion here since I got a bit sick of the constant flames on guilds and the constant comparison between guilds just to say "My guild is better". For me all guilds and guildmembers are equal, it's how they play the game and how they interact with other people that determines who they are and so far I haven't had any negative encounters with a guild before.

So just enjoy the game, the people in it and have a great time is what I say.

And, ROFL, it's a big undead locust! Ooooh. Soooo scary.

Well it was nice to see this topic... I could have told you all ages ago how great GK's are, just a shame it did also make a bad comment about another one of Albions Guilds.

Well to let you all know, MisterJingo is looking at coming back to Albion and starting a minstrel again. Which is one of the reasons I have started again, to play with him and Gronau (who I see is spaming here now :p )

As for power lvling or roleplaying.... what ever makes you smile when you play go for it in the end this game is here for our fun, (As long as it is within the CoC) I myself have been roleplaying on and off since I first met Aethelstan in Tepoks many moons ago (lvl 22?) it was with him I found the joys of not using m8 y r and many other abreviastions (sp?).

I have many other things i want to say in this post... but am at work :rolleyes: so dont have the time.

And, I've got a minstrel with a 2.x thruster, she hit's fast. there u need timing more than as a pally :O
