Resist pierce question

Me and some friends had a little discussion around resist pierce.
We were debating around the subject if the resist pierce can go above 10%.

What I said was that it were only passive resist pierce that had a cap of 10% and that if you used CS aura, then you can go above the 10%.

He said that resist pierce no matter what has a cap of 10%


Sorry, if it's already answered in some other threads, but I want to make sure as it would determine what template I would go for. (P.s I am probably not up-to-date).

cap is 10% on everything but debuff bonus, heal bonus, pow % and buff bonus afaik (discounting ml10 weapons as you can go over 10% melee damage with them)

Is that only ml10 weapons or ml10 items to?
