Could you look into the possibility to export character details ?

I tried to figure out which artifact quests i had completed on my characters. Done by /quest and sorting through tons of quests and trying to figure out if one was an arti-quest or a regular quest.

Would be nice if we could generate html-pages or whatever for our own characters. (Not to familiar with export capabilities :) , just want to work on my chars off-line)

Any GM who can give me an answer if this is being considered @ GoA ?

I think what u want is pretty much already in game:

Press L (or the key you set to chatlogging). Type /quest

In the file chat.log in your DAOC-folder all your quests completed will be written.

True Puppet. Hadnt thought of that myself o_O (thnx :) )

I want more info though : stats, arti-levels, ML steps completed, rr-points etc etc.

My character is a database record with all those things recorded. Would be nice if i could export that record myself and do calculations and such on those exported records.

I think this would be one of those "we'd like to, but will be item number 9,999,999,999,999,999 on the list of to-do's", after fixing XML, translations, replacing lost items, fixing current bugs, banning radar'ers, playing quake 4, eating lunch, clipping toenails....

All that info can be dumped into chat logs, or if not to screen shots and you can do it manually. Besides, some of what you asks will change in seconds and will be out of date as soon as displayed. Dont be lazy, all this info is in game, its easy enough to do yourself.

...create a chat grp with your bb or m8, and drop each of your items into chat log - obviously making sure u got logging turned on 1st ;)

@Whoodoo : the info is ingame correct, but to gather all the info i want i would need to make 20+ screenshots + several chatlogs and then compile them to a workable sheet (which i do right btw). Thats about 15-30 mins per char. Multiply by about 10 chars (yup i have 10 chars with arties, ml's, rr and the like).
Each time something changes i would have to make a note to modify the characteroverview sheet. See where this is going ? ...

So, no its not lazyness. I want to have this facilitated (sp) by the host running this game if they have the possibility to do this.

I see where you are coming from, however, as GOA are struggling to provide even the most basic info at present, implementing something as astronomical as this seems a glimmer at the end of a very long tunnel, and to me constitutes "bling" rather than pressing issues we all want fixed. Most of the data is already available in game now, with hover tips, shift-i and with UI buttons.

The output of such XML is vast, and will also put extra load on the servers and GMs, and on FH with whines when it breaks, as its prone to doing.

Personally, all this info takes the fun out of the game when over analised, Id rather be out wtfpwning than calculating the % extra time it takes to nail jelly to a tree with a polearmsmans todger and a lenth of strawberry liquorice.
