Hello all,
well since this has been taken public I'll give a general reply to this topic:
As you all know, it is your own responsibility to keep your account information safe. As stated in some of the pasted responses above, we have no way of verifying which person is sitting behind the computer at any given time, especially not when internet cafes are involved, since IP checks means little to nothing. If CoC violations occur we can only hold the account responsible.
A permanent ban on first violation is not common, but the nature and maliciousness of the incident(s), the number of times it was repeated and a few other factors warranted it in this case.
As for our CoC compared to Mythics, they are not identical. While you are generally responsible for your own items, and you should think thrice before clicking Accept on a safe trade, we do not allow intended scamming and griefing of this sort.
