I have ginger hair - ever noticed how it's acceptable to say 'ginger whinger' or 'ginger twat', but not 'black bitch' or 'black wanker'? There's no real difference between the two.

Hair colour can be determined on a racial basis, red or ginger hair is normally scandanavian in origin. Basically, when you call somebody a ginger git, what you're actually saying is:
You're different than us, because you have ginger hair, therefore we can take the piss.
Now how is that different from looking at somebody with negroid roots, and doing the same thing?

I'm with tom on this one, although as a kid my hair used to be ginger as i've grown up its gone grown ( naturally - i'm not some loser like Tim of BB ).
Also genetically speaking it doesnt define black/white into races, but other characteristics, you calling blacks a race or indeed any other colour skin is racist.
If you mock people because of a physical characteristic such as skin colour, then you as equally as anti-norm if you mock someone for their hair colour.
