u cant repair dur
only con

dur will go down

usually items start whit 100% dur but arits and some harder to get items have 150% even if they show 100%

next patch will fixx some stuff. artis and some harder items dont loose dur enymore.
u just have to repair the con, but it will cost more than now.

i dont know if the dur is returned to 150% when u repair after the patch, and how much it costs but i bet it will be aalot more than now repair costs.

well thats all i know

Artifacts will be repairable without durability loss in the next set of patches.

Until then, do not use your arti until it breaks; keep the dur above 0%, or you may find yourself Tartaros-less or Malice-less!

:)

So you won't be able to fix durability at all?

in other words, if your staff is currently broken, you're fooked?

well no in the next patch artys don't lose dur if you have a arti on say 70% dur when you go to a smith to repair it it should go back to 100% dur only prob is it costs more to repair artys then other stuff. As to how much it will cost i don't know

Us servers for a tartaro staff with dur of 0 , for the first time fix was 3p, restored all con and dur to 100%, think dur does still fall except it costs far more the second and subsequent times to repair.

Edit looking at patch notes :-

ARTIFACT DURABILITY REPAIR

- Durability loss has now been removed from artifacts. Once repaired at a smith, all artifacts will be reset to full durability and will no longer lose durability.

- Condition loss on artifacts will still occur. Artifacts will now cost significantly more than standard weapons, armor and items to get the condition repaired.

So no more dur , but the initial first fix cost with artis now will depend on current dur as well as con.

Some examples :-

Fools Bow 92% con 80% dur = 1plat 149pg, 80sp,50cp
GSV 96% con 100% dur = 921 gp,53sp,30cp
Battler 93% con 100% dur = 621 gp, 53 sp, 30cp
Mad Scalars 92%con 100% dur = 1plat, 326 gp, 15sp
Malice 99%con 100% dur= 263gp, 51sp, 60cp
GoLM 94%con 100% dur = 224gp, 70sp

No need to repair that, just drop it to 70%con and you will still get the resist bonuses. Only items you have to repair are armor, weapons/shields and jewlery with +skill on em. All other items with toa bonuses, cap increases and stats/resists on them, will still work, even if the item drops to 70%con

Oh, ic =)

I remember someone told me something like that a while ago, thanks for reminding me =)

One thing I always have wondered however, is if they will drop faster if you repair more often (ex.98%con), or faster if you let them lower in con (ex.70%)? Have heard lots of different theories on that one.

when an item has 90condition or less, it loses condition twice as fast as 90+.
Also, when you repair an item, you lose dur the amount of condition that has to be fixed + 1
armor/weapon/shield need a good condition to keep AF,....

so...
repair your armor/weapon/shield at 98%
repair your jewelry at 90% if it has skills on it

I believe this is correct, yes. Hence why I tell people every day NOT to take tarts down to 0.

Repair ALL items at 98%(if they have +skill or if its a weapon/armour part, all other items shouldnt be repaired)

As boogie rightly points out you lose extra duration per repair (some fraction or maybe duration+1 as he says). By repairing an item at 98% you lower its durability faster than repairing at 90%, as you will need to repair the item 5 times incuring the +1 penalty 5 times instead of just the once.

Dur won't be repaired.

Con is repaired, dur just won't decrease any more...so it doesn't matter what dur your staff is on; it's con that counts!!

i thought the dur was repaired once, the first time, that's why you have to pay that much.
