Repairing and durability

Ok there are so many different opinions on this one. Could someone pls convince me what is best in regards to keeping durability as long as possible: repair your eq as often as you can, or wait for the con to go down a bit before repair.

Most ppl say you should repair whenever con drops 2-3%. But when testing stuff myself i still lose alot of dur on a weapon even if i repair it at 98%. I would lost 2% dur if repaired at 99% and maybe 7% dur if i repaired at 88ish. Seems from this it would be best to wait as long as possible with each repair, but i really don't know.

Sucks so badly to have your newly aquired stuff lose durability in a blink, so i would really appreciaty any info to keep it as long as possible.

Thanks guys.

Solution: only use MP items, they have a much higher durability ;)

anything 90%+ qua doesnt down dur until after a couple of repairs if you repair at 99%con mp items have something like 130%dur so you could get 15 times more repairs in if you repair at 99%

Durability loss depends on the quality of the item too.

I repair items at 96%. lose 4/5% dur :I

This still isn't clear to me. Even with 15 times more repairs, repairing at 99 will mean repairing once after every 10 mobs or so, so that won't help much. Also what is MP?

Q: Do you lose more durability if you wait to repair your items as opposed to repairing them often, vice versa, or neither?

A: Neither. Durability points are converted to condition points by a ratio formula. You may lose a percentage point of durability to our system rounding up if you happen to hit it at the wrong moment, but that is the only exception. You basically need to keep your stuff at 90% condition or better, as there is a noticeable difference in the damage you take or give at that point. It’s an exponential drop – you won’t notice much of a difference anywhere in the 90s, but you’ll really feel it as you go below that point.
Also, as far as I know, it's only 99% and 100% items that get the "extra hidden durability" boost. 98% quality and below items start at 100% DUR.

Keep condition on your armor and weapons at 100% is the general rule of thumb I believe.

You will lose durability faster if you use items above your level though.
