I didn't attend the memorial.

But, on the other hand, I respected the wishes of those who did attend, and even announced it in our gc so those who wanted to go pay their respects could.

As for this post, optical... I'm lost for words. You say those who went are sad? Well, you're in the minority there! You just go in your corner and keep on raging against the machine.

You didn't agree with it? Fine, but don't come on here like a little child and insult those who wished to pay their respects. Read my first post again. I feel really bad for what happened to oggy, i know who he was, and i played with him lots, it really sucks that he died.

BUT, i dont give a flying f**k about where he RvRed. Having an event involving PEACE in EMAIN is bloody well stupid. If you dont get it, then bang your head against the wall for 20 times, and then think REALLY hard and think very hard about the words Emain and Peace.

If you cant figure it out, then sorry, i wont talk more with you because i prefer to have intelligent discussions.

I deleted my chars because i wanted to. Im still going to play on the PvP server, so i read these boards since they are still dedicated to the game you know. Which im still playing.

I normally stay out of things since it really isnt my business, but the crap in here was just too much.

Holding an event in emain is, have always been and will always be a lost cause.

I can understand the people who was there for the memorial that you are angry at the people who killed you. But it IS a game, the event WAS held in emain which obviously was a very bad choice and not everyone reads this forum.

Hope everyone learned that if you want to do something then dont do that in emain if you dont want to end up dead.

it wasnt stupid, it was ambitious.

We all knew whether we admited it or not that this would happen...it was inevitable, and as such people's reaction has been a little suprising...I did attend, i did not know oggy nor can i recall faceing him in RvR, i attended because the day that comes when a mans life is not honoured is the day we stop being human beings...Oggy was a member of a online community, one in which he seems to have made alot of friends and touched alot of people. and at the end of the day that is why people play mmorpgs to interact with others like them and have fun...Oggy certainly did this, and it makes no difference and does me no harm to take 30 mins pause to honour the man.

Those who dont agree with this are perfectly entitled to do as they wish, however i must say this thread does confuse me...in that it serves no purpose (quite a few of these on BW tbh) it seems to have been created only to rub people up the wrong way. I find that distasteful, but that is just my opinion. Yes emain bowl was a bad place....it was also the perfect place, and for the majority of those 30 minutes it was the perfect memorial and i hope oggys family got to see the sheer number of people who arrived to pay their respects...

All TD wanted to do was remember there friend and share there repsect for him with the rest of the server, plz dont flame them for the methods they used or whether u think they were justified in doing it at all...

just my 2 cents

Also this event could have easily been done in a nicer place say the place where he was born? In hiberina i think that would have been a much nicer place to have it for TD and the rest of hiberina because i doubt none of alb/mid knew him.

Think about it nice memorial near adree river just near the bridge hearing the river flowing would have been much more peaceful and in a way respectful instead of a war zone like emain.
