not very surprising it would happen really, theres people with many different interests playing this game. very often there's a certain group of albs out very late at night that enjoy playing together and if there's no other groups out to fight you'll find them bashing keeps or whatever gives a bit of action

current situation leaves hib very fragile and it kinda relies on trusting "enemies" to keep it in balance, but unfortunately until we get the new island there is no other way to guarantee good action during primetime. a bad thing is that many groups only come out if they have easy access to another realm, usually groups of more casual gamers

taking relics with a fg and a bit or so is challenging in a way because the guards are really tough to kill. also, at the least bit of defence you can get wiped very easily. for example a solo nightshade or mage that knows what he's doing can solo that entire group when they're bashing on a tower , keep or relic keep. in that way hibs have been really incompetent or totally nonexistant at this mornings defence - i have no idea , i was still asleep

can't really blame them for giving it a shot, even though losing relics means destroying a very very fine balance (remember str relics and shouts shooting for 1k? wasnt really fun then). i think relics should be a reward for good teamplay within the realm, not the reward of lack of defence. not much fun in that..

but it seems many people give more about the roleplaying value of the game, keeping your own keeps secure, defending your relics - or capturing them, farming easy rps than the "elitist" way to play, finding a challenges and leaving people have their own fight.

when we take those relics back i hope it will be at primetime and it will be fun for both realms involved, with lots of action and planning. that beats taking them back in the morning any day, only reason i care about relics is because they destroy balance, its the fun of the large scale raid that makes it worth attempting to capture them.. not the need to do some more dmg

Personally i'll always do my best to ruin any attempt to create that situration in Albion and have no issues with taking advantage of a realm daft enough to let it sit in theres.

I don't agree with AC raids, but those you cannot defend against.

You're REALLY 28+ years old! I swear! If you really do have 10 years of army experience I guess you joined as soon as you were born, or that you're mentally hadicapped since you're acting like you're not a day over 10.

A bit more on the subject.. AC raids might be lame but as stated it's the time when it's the highest chance to take the relics. I'm sure there was a few online on hib when they took the relic, only need 1 caster and his bb inside the keep to fuck up the relic raid when it's only 8 people.

Would be nice if they remade the system of guards for the keeps that open the relic gates when taken. At night the guards are extra tough, so tough so not an 8 man group can do it. They'd need more people, like 40 or so, atleast. And then later during the day the keep would either 1. Go back to normal guard status. Or 2. Get weaker status. Option #2 would require more defence from the players themselfs as a 'cost' of having great guards at night.

Congrats on the relic albs, all the realms do it, all the realms whine on it and it will never stop so might aswell just accept it.

Actually that's a nice idea for dealing with population issues too - make additional guards based on population on-line at any one time. Probably a bit hard to do though.

Yeh in some way it sux that albs got so many relics, and it is our own fault seeing as we let mids/albs have insta port to our realm. but in the periods where they have had that(instaport), rvr has improved alot. Ppl actually bother to make a fg and run around having fun like in the old days of Old Frontiers. When there arent instaport, most ppl dont bother to make a fg, and mostly its just the leet gank grps that are out, and most of the times not even those peeps bother to make a grp.

We weakened our defences when we let other realms have instaport, but i for one had loads of fun in that period. This tho, is not something i would want to happend after cluster. It will be too crowded
