Lame tactics?, Not that DAOC has anything to do with IRL but the tactics looked effective to me. Have you thought of joining the army am sure they will agree that these tactics were lame as well.

And for Info I spent 10 Years in Armed Forces as For tactics This is a Game.
Think you Find that being IRL in Army will be totally different from PLAYING A GAME and yes I have had to fight for my Country but I think if DAOC was like RL then I would have no objections.

The whole point of an AC raid is to get the relics with the least possible resistance , AC raids are lame , whatever day they are done.

Just cos your lot done them on a weekend doesnt make your raids any better.

LOL This was not a orgnised relic raid, just people following what our realm task was !!, Unlock Hibernias Power Relic gates, so we did it with out a fuss and we got a present, if u guys do /journal and work as a team then u can do it aswell, and this was not alarm clock raid, it was just some people left away from the behn keep take for filling the task for our realm nuff said for me, if u want to QQ then blame the QUEST NOT THE ALBS !!

This is the down side of the 'insta rvr' people seem to like. You won't lose a relic prime-time but you are very vulnerable at other times, which is why you'll find me 'role-playing' at Berks and Eras whenever they come under threat from someone seeking a port into Albion.

Well then, if you spent 10 years you would know that the tactics were not lame. An 8 man group in daoc is the eqivalent of a british military section, and while you are not going to do any fire and manouver, the tactics you learnt in the military are in a way applicable in DAOC.

As for playing a game, aren't Exercises just a game? of course a live fire exercise is a bit differant. I too was in the army, for some one with 10 years experience which would make you at least 28, you do not show that much maturity or seem to understand the concepts of a tactical advantage

So please tell me what the correct tactics are for taking a relic?

Also dont forget that the group were carrying out a realm mission, and when they did not get much activity thought they might as well take a relic. Are you saying that realm missions are Lame.

Just because some people do not play the game on your terms, or when you want or how you want does not make it lame. Then you are entitled yo your opinion

DAoC is active 24 hours 7 days a week, why is it wrong if people are playing in the morning, afternoon, night?

If your realm has players in it, they should go defend as soon as they know about it.

I have no problem with other realm players doing the same, its annoying? yes, because we lost a bonus that benifits many, but its not a flamable offence, just means we have to get off our butts and get them back.
I still remember the time when Mid had Str and Hib had Magic relics for a best part of a year, yet when they lost it all hell broke out, flamage to the max.

I believe RvR would be more fun if Relics switched hands every 1-7 days like towers and castles, not a big fan of 1 realm hogging such advantages for a long time, what can I say? I like to share.
