Relic raid attempts and Alliances

As some of you may know I just recently came back to pryd and joined the glorious realm that is Albion.
I just want to know how many attempts have been made to get our relics back and how these attempts went.
Also I would like to know some more about the alliances in Albion, and how you get a long.

I would like to know what works and what doesnt work.

As far as I am aware, one half-hearted attempt was made and failed (obviuosly )

Albion has at least 3/4 alliances, which IMO is one reason why it fails so much, we are too partitioned.

Inter-alliance cooperation does occasionally happen, but it still needs a lot of work.

Until we get our act together, I don't forsee us getting a relic back for a while

We're still working on the idea that if we wait long enough, either the mids will give us the relics back.....or GOA will cock up the server and the relics will reset back to us

Well Order of the Knights Templar and Griffon Knights have just formed an Alliance. We are still finding our feet but have been able to take a few keeps (i was stuck at work ) so it looks like we just need a little time and we will can then consider a big push for the relics, as an Alliance or as Albion as a whole.

I think Mid kinda spoiled their fun when they stole the Relics so early.

They power leveled very quickly and took the Relics before we really knew what we were doing. They have since had them for about 3 months.

In which time, they havnt had massive relic battles and wars because frankly we dont need to defend our keeps anymore, dont need to worry about loosing our relics and can take our own keeps back at our leasure as training excerices.

We still cant get our Relics back because the bonuses they get from having all 6 relics makes them too strong still.

Mid is very well organised atm with lots of active rvr players so I think it would be very difficult to take even the majority of our keeps let alone the relics without some major realm wide coordination. "Together you stand divided you fall" as the saying goes.

on each relic, not all of them together. all those power lvld uber d00dz on midgard who say RvR is shit - its your fault, if you wanted proper rvr you wouldnt of powerd to 50 so fast spending every waking minute playing then we would still be fighting for the relics probably and it would be alot more fun for everyone.

just wanted people to answer my questions and not talkib about how much the mids dominate and how we will never get our relics back.. cause I've heard this soooo many times now...even when I was on midgard people talked about who they could never beat the mids....

well our guild inst in a alliance and no one seems to tell us about any raids or attempts, were currently waiting to join an alliance I think, not sure about this =)


I think albion have got to many alliances and loose guilds to work properly togheter and no real leadership and when someone try to take command no one listens or do just the oppsite.

maybe we can get some guild and alliance list up or something

I think all alliances need to merge into one if we are to be effective. The head of my one is the Pheonix Legion. I suggest all guilds get into contact with them and then we will be a little more organised and communication will flow like a pygmy auto run.

Seriously lets get the foundations and logistics in place then we will be better organised.

And it is this kind of "so what if they take our keeps?" attitude that is keeping Albion down, before we push for a relic, we need to make damn sure we can keep all of our keeps, as there is little point in bringing the relic home, if we are gonna let the mids walk right through our keeps, and take them straight back, as these kind of people will just say "Who cares, we can take em back again"...

The alliances will not and do not need to merger. All they need to do is work together. At the moment the reason for no mergers would be the alliance channel.

Unity use thier alliance channel for rvr/officers only.
Eternal Circle use thier alliance channel mainly as an exp grp shopping channel. ie everyone has access to use it.
Templar Knights I presume would want to minimize OOC chat and use it more for roleplaying.

Slowly but surely all the Albion guilds seem to be fitting into one of these alliances. Each one has its own strengths and virtues.. personally I think EC has it sorted... but I only say that because I started it..

As for the relics, were hopeing the relic guards can be bribed with some Spicy Basalisk & Crispy Rooter Pizza... Ill be dropping them round tonight personally...

... agreed... and I also think it is worthwhile noting (Wicoa) that a huge amount is being done behind the scenes to try to coordinate closely between these groups.... just because it isn't popping up in your chat window doesn't mean it isn't happening

The relic guards are pansies, all this build up that they are uber is nonsense, they go down just as easily as everything else...hell, if we drop the glacier giant in under 15 seconds, couple guards ain't no problem

eerrmmm... well there was about 200 of us hitting the bloody thing.

But I agree about the guards they did not seem to much stronger that the normal keep guards.

Im not sure but, someone said that its actually 15% difference. As in they got 5%+5% from our and hibs relics + their own. And we get -5%. But I also heard that when you loose a relic, you dont loose anything, just the other one gets stronger.

Come on Albion- We can do it!

We just need planning and co-operation between the Alliances that will enable us to go in there, stuff the Middie skum and bring our relics back.

However,

We CANNOT do this if we do not co-operate.

We CANNOT do this if we don't appreciate each others needs/views.

We CANNOT do this if we do not plan properly.

We CANNOT do this if we argue amongst ourselves.


If alliances want to go it alone, fair enough, tis their choice - but you cannot ignore the fact that we all stand more chance of being proud owners of our relics (and even the midgardian ones) if we sort ourselves into strength instead of weakness.
