relic/keep raids and why mid struggles

tried tonight, took a tower of each of the keeps to cut the port, we were only 30 mids, then attempted bold but got outnumbered by albs who had a lot more than we did

all alliances were informed, and the Bg moved with 40 people :/

i think most enjoyed themselves and hopefuly albs worried a bit when we had 5 of there towers up in smoke at once

unless ardamel or NP leads people don't seem as interested due to there reputation

mid ml raids move with 150+ people i know this is due to planning but even so a relic raid is the biggest thing to take part in, and is ofc a lot more fun

well done to the albs who came and defended their realm tho, something us mids don't seem to address as well.

Think the problem you have is the same in Hib (Cluster).

No 1 wants to do anything in taking keeps Hib is Happy with the insta RvR situation as it is atm and can't see point in Relics with Clustering incoming.

Maybe it all change after that I hope it does for Hib sake and Mid.

Saw alot of mids running about hib frontier around same time you attempted the tower takes, guess they prefer fg roaming to RRing.

was a good effort, we got a few towers, but just failed on ren t3 - 3 fb'ers just wasn't quick enough to take doors before defence turned up - ah well maybe next time...

What worries me about these BGs aswell is 40 in it but always some sat in housing and never arrive.Weird that esp when they`re also on irc and playing on a nertcafe pc....... no names mentioned.

Yes very good try Arumos, dont let it discourage you that we wasnt more than 30, but I know the feeling when no more shows. Too bad I wasnt online myself (had some rl commitments) but I assure you TDA will support any raids in the future and I will be there aswell. Keep up the good work, Mids are very slow but they can be awaken if we poke them eneough.

hmmm... when u say u moved with only 40 peeps in bg.. then go onto say we had 5 towers in flames at once.. well.. i can begin to see why it didnt work. now here's another thing.. where u hitting the doors of all those towers or were some towers being razed? i ask coz there's certain towers u smash to the ground in enemy realms. (there's even some in your own realms too when u doing retakes). but the razing of towers doesnt take a lot of peeps and should be done before u move the main bg into attack.

anyhoo thats my thinking anyway. but i aint gonna tell u what the towers are, will let u work that out for yourself

i had 5 fbs in Bg so i sent each one of them to start on the doors of a unclaimed tower per keep in alb, they took down the doors then i designated certains grps to start takin them. the idea was ofc to cut the alb port to bold and the only way alb could get to bold would be from sauvage so i would send a grp to kill the inc whilst we sorted bold out, was difficult tho as we had so few numbers and we failed due to meeting the alb defense forces at rens T3 :/

i did quite a few things wrong eg, i should of probably took the bold tower first :> maybe we should have just zerged each tower 1 by 1 who knows but it was a fun attempt :>

with more numbers i'm quite sure this plan woulda have been more effective

PS: thanks for your comment guys, we'll keep at it and try more primetime, the attitude i am gettin from people in mid tho is that cluster is inc and people don't seem as bothered but thats just a lame excuse to stay in emain.

hehe the important thing is to keep trying, do different stuff to see what works. yeah cluster is inc.. but all these peeps saying.. i cba.. cluster inc.. are gonna end up clueless. seige warfare has changed.. and if peeps think its just gonna be a matter of taking so called l33t groups to take whatever they like in cluster.. they got another thing coming. there are peeps in every realm on pryd who will make peeps pay if they make mistakes.. there's lots on excal too but most of them in hiding.

Mid pryd can get decent numbers. When i did my last RR on renaris i think we had a 115 in BG. But we still failed. Partly due to several rams getting constantly bugged which meant the doors took to long to get down. Which inturn enabled a very large amount of albs to get inside. When we finnaly got inside i think maybe 3 fg hibs came up behind us and there were more albs inside the relic room than we had mids.

In the end we got Reaver bombed to death and basically we got mulered.

But i do know for a fact that everyone enjoyed the experience, we worked together as a realm and it was great fun. Even thlough we failed to get the relic people walked away with a smile on their face.

Anyway enough of my rambling, good that people try do these raids and don't give up

Yeh its hard Arumos, tell me about it. But im sure that the more you try, the more you will get with you each time. If the mids are patient, they will at some point succeed.
