Reliable SSD?

My old 64Gb Samsung SSD that runs as my C: drive is reporting "I'm a giant fail waiting to happen" errors to the OS (I've clicked ignore and stop nagging me).

I've taken an image backup using Macrium (took less than 15 minutes to take the image - and compressed it down to less than 25Gb too!) - now all I need is a cheap but reliable SSD replacement. :)

Any suggestions? I'm guessing the newer ones are the daddy of reliability but I don't bother to keep up with hardware anymore ever since games have stopped requiring you to have anything but ten year old tec...

what Hawkwind said tbh. That would be the one I'd get. I also have Intel, Kingston and Plextor and they've never done me wrong.

I have a Crucial SSD, only a small boot drive but very happy with it. Been faultless in nearly 2 years of use.

Thought the 840 Pro's were reasonably new tho? My SSD has to be 5 years old so you'd kinda expect it.

The Samsung EVO's any good? They're a bit cheaper and I don't really need top-end performance.

Standard reliability calculations, I stated I have have four in there for a reason. One year on each without issue is effectively 4 years without failure.

I have an EVO and it is still going well but I stuck it in a USB enclosure for storing old game builds like DAOC just in case I get the urge to go back and play it. Good drive but the Pro has better performance. Not seen anything negative written about them. The OCZ ones are also supposed to be good if your looking for an alternative.

I have a OCZ and had no problems with it so far. Though I wish I got a 256GB version instead of 128GB as PC gaming will be a hassle on it.
