I'd vote yes, but I think I'm now outside the UK voting period (I think it's 15 years non-resident). However, it will never happen because the UK wouldn't get any of the perks it had before and would be obliged to join the Euro.

I also think the EU is going to have to change anyway, including a serious military alliance to replace NATO, which will probably be dead before the year is out, which leaves the UK between a bit of a rock and a hard place.

I think you will see a continuous shift of European countries moving away from America. I also don't think many of us really believe in the Special Relationship at a level that actually matters, no matter how many times any politician repeats the phrase.

Yes Rejoin, Even on poorer terms and forced to accept the Euro the country would be massively better off. It's proven to be the biggest act of economic self inflicted foot shooting that this country has seen or ever will see.

The whole thing was bungled from the start. From offering it to an in ill informed public in the first place, to Russian manipulation, to Corbyn being indifferent instead of instructing his minions to vote remain, to voting leave for terms that hadn't yet been established, to leaving the common market etc etc.

It's been a shitshow from start to finish, we've gained nothing from leaving. I have yet to be told of a single Brexit benefit which is not easily disproved. The list of negative impacts is endless, paramount of which is the economic impact from which everything else flows.

If you voted for Brexit, you were ill informed, misled and made a terrible mistake. If you still believe in it, you're a moron.

I voted remain, but I see no reason to rejoin. I was going to say until the EU reforms to make itself more democratically accountable, but really, that wouldn't be enough.

I don't really give a stuff about the economics of it. If we got a 5% boost for our economy if we rejoined (estimates are around 2.2% if we deeply aligned / had a customs union - but we've not actually officially modeled a rejoin - but that seems reasonable based on the reduction of GDP) then would the majority notice?

The answer, sadly, is no. Because we measure economics on GDP, which is a largely irrelevant measure by most people's standards (and it's a ridiculous metric that needs scrapping).

So I never believed in it in the first place but I don't think it's worth the massive upheaval of reversal either, for lots of different reasons. But number one is - it's largely irrelevant for most people's life. We need serious economic reforms, that we ain't gonna get. So wasting our time with Brexit is just a distraction, another sop that we'd use to tell people will make their lives magically better - when it just won't.

But a 55% vote for "rejoin" is just as shit as the narrow margin for leave was. Just in reverse.

Should be 66% minimum for even considering such big changes.

Never going to happen, nothing can stop a country from doing what it wants, yeh they can do sanctions or war but that is about it and when we left "sanctions" were imposed by not being a member of the EU, didn't deter the voters in the referendum.

They could insist the UK puts a few billion quid in escrow and they get it back in 30 years. The only thing that will ever get the UK to behave is financial risk.

Well, no they can't technically keep us in but they can make it much more difficult for us to leave... as an example "Leave before X amount of years and face massive penalties that makes leaving before that amount of years not worth it"
