Diablo 2 ladder was purely the amount you played, even more so than getting high rp on daoc is. Im sure i re-call a NP member being 20 level's or so higher than everyone else, then found out they were using the angelic set bug :(
Getting high on the ladder on hardcore was just luck, the game was not hard to play at all, just lag spikes and msle bosses made it tricky at times :) They should have made a ladder for number of kills or something, pk'ing was a lot harder and generally more skillful.
Looking back on d2 classic (expansion sucked) its amazing how it all balanced out and each class had 1 cookie cutter build that was very overpowered (WW, SF and FO, BH and Conc etc) and all other builds kinda sucked. So many broken skills... anyway this is a daoc forum so enough about d2 :)

When the ladderreset came (a few weeks after the release of LoD) NP did race to lvl 87 in less then 12 hours.
NP even beat the US players that had a several hours head start.
NP where called cheaters etc on forums, but no cheat where used.
Just good players knowing exactly how to do it.

With all respect, exping in LoD is MUCH easier than in D2Co_O Made myself lvl73 in about 6-8 hours... Waiting for 1.10 atmT_T

2.0sec "hard cap" are for the base speed ( ie. debuffs with 2.0sec basespeed wont be affected by Mota )
with 2.0 basespeed debuffs and 290~ dex you'll cast them in less then 1sec, with 288dex you cast a 2.8basespeed DD at 1.8sec.
so pbaoe should be around 1.5sec effective castspeed, since it's 0.3sec lower basespeed on it.

Im not sure about qc, but I dont think it calcs the dex in the speed.

Qc is always the same speed afaik, with my mentalist it didnt matter if i used a 4 sec ae or a 2,5 sec stun, it was always the same speed(about 2 seconds, maybe a little faster, but not much).

And for the other info it seems correct with what i have found, i currently have about 1,6 cast time with my minor heal on my shammie with 250 dex(tested with chat logging).

Enough already with the NP beating :).

Ill say one thing though for this many posts against 1 guild says a great deal as to how that guild is perceived.

I think too many ppl or guilds like to cry 'Im uber ur all not' etc etc blah blah. FFS this game is supposed to be fun, ppl in game know who are the top guilds in RPs etc but is that so important? Do what I try and do, and enjoy playing, meet friendly ppl, and have a laf. :p

I remember that reset, when people made a level 40 char to power level people in bloody hills normal diff. Then a level 60 for nightmare and a level 90 for hell diff. All you had to do was party up and stick your char at the entrance to bloody hills and hey presto 2 or 3 level's per bloody hill run. This method was way faster than anything else and extreemly easy, hardly skillful. You could even have a sorc teleport around in act 1 looking for exp shrines as well if you wanted....

The only fair ladder run was the very first ladder when the game started - LoD release would have been fair but angelic set bug messed it up.
Granted getting first level 50 on daoc was a little more impressive, but on excal all of midgard had a levelling advantage (before the patch) so only guilds from there could hope to beat NP.
At camlann NP got first 50 again however they seemed to have a lot of pbae and a sole intention of racing to 50 then retiring.
As for rvr on excal, i think Llaw Arian are just as good if not better, but being a relatively new guild haven't established a high total rp yet. GoL are doing well considering albs dis-advantages (just look at camlann - how many people chose an alb? ).... but lets not start a realm balance arguement.
PvP was the fair fighting ground, i just hope NP come back soon cus i just love to fight em :)

Ah yes i forgot you were in Prophets Teza :) ...such a long time ago now, those were the good days, when you knew almost everyone in emain, and fights were small cus most people were still low level - a shame things like chain ae mezz//stun were around back then to spoil things :(

LoD is crap. I quit playing d2 1 week after LoD.

HC only&4ever. Ill play D2CHC if 1.10 will make D2C to be like it was in pre 1.08 times... i really doubt it will tho(all the changes are going to be done to LoD exclusively...):< So prolly will come back to LoDHC for some time after 1.10 comes to life;> /offtop end

I also miss the times before LoD was released, the balance was nice, the items were different - everyone used rare instead of uniques like in LoD. I also loved iceblink, great for a level 1 and also so much fun combined with WW, shame it got nerfed :(
Patches are mostly good, but sometimes you miss the old times, in relation to daoc i really miss the days before see hidden, and epic armors//spellcrafting. Epic armor spoils the life of a level 50 in that you get a perfect set of armor right away, i loved going to llyn barfog or dartmoor to search for the af 49 cloth, well at least the new patch adds a new dungeon with some even better items :)

Just one little thing.
NP did not use any characters like that at all.
Just a perfekt group with skilled hardcore gamers.

D2 was all about PKPK and dueling :D Exping was easy in LOd, but most fun was delivered by PKPK and duels :)

I just say I got all respect for NP they are a really nice guild when I meet em and I got nothin bad to say to em.. I both played with em on same server and against em.. =)

My best regards to Fatbelly the guy that made Europeans best guild according to me of course with help from guildies..

Hmm find the i didnt use pot 1v1 very hard to believe, so what you are trying to say is that you never used pots and beat potty players ***cough*** bullshit *** cough***

well im not saying i used 0 pots. hence why i said rarely:) but well i enjoyed dueling. anyone can use pots no skill in it, timing is where the skill is and 90% of time i didnt need to use the pots.

also being a tight sod and not willing to make/buy more pots had a part in it hehe.

maybe it was cos of my con that i didnt need to use em.
