IMO kudos to RG, they play like a guild should, working together.... so they zerg.... so what?

What do you want them to do? They have 3fgs online, it gives them a distinct advantage in RvR to work together, so they do.
What do u want them to do? You want them to make 3fgs and roam seperately in emain? Would you do that if you had 3fgs online?

isn't the point of being in a guild playing togehter?

Im sure LA would run with 2-3fgs if they could get the numbers online.

Vengful, the post isn't about RG being "teh zerg", it's about RG's policy of kicking people if they don't get enough RPs every week, which TBH sucks.

well those who don't like RG's rules aren't forced to stay in it... I'm sure they like the RP's they are making etc... and they like being part of a guild that has a reputation for owning emain and in RvR on a regular basis.... this reputation isn't built purely on good intentions I'm sure...

also.. it seems to me that the post was definately related to RG's zerging, and maybe you should.. read and comprehend.. b4 posting...

since the whole issue of making RP's etc goes back to the popular whine about RG zerging all the time...


I mean I don't think Tzee or all the ppl who complain about RG zerging would care if RG insisted on minimum amount of RPs per week or not if it didn't seem to result in them zerging...

you can't seperate apples from apple sauce :p

I'd like to add that I myself have bitched about RG zerging in game chat etc. But now that I think about it, if I could do the same with my guild and own in RvR, I would do it, and I think most people would also... I think most of us are just a lil green :)

Its kinda obvious that most ppl have been complaining about RG zerging. Tzee himself has complained about it already on these forums.... don't need to speak to him to read those posts do I ?

Anyways lets not argue semantics.. it gets old v soon

actually you're wrong, if i had the option to run with 3fg LA, against a pretty much desolate and devoid emain, against a regular stream of single groups, i know for a fact many people in my guild would suggest we do something different.

there is two things here - one is the GM with the stupid policy

two is RG zerging even when there is completely no need for it, and im talking about 3am or so in the morning when there really isnt much competition..

what stimulates people to keep going in a mass of people against an enemy which present virtually no challenge?

oh and just to clarify - if i had the option to do what RG are doing, with my guild, would i do it? no, i would not.

(a lot of us people in hib are proud, and as such dont really 'farm', as some of you guys would like to believe, we go for the good fights, its what makes the game fun for us)

fair enough, respect to you, but I personally don't think anymore that there is anything wrong with RG rvring as a guild... besides a even at 3am u might be likely to run into 5fgs albs at AMG, which I guess kinda justifies having 3fgs of your guild with you to deal with them

WEll I guess they could spend that time taking keeps or whatever, but I don't think there is anything wrong with playing with your guildmates. I mean if they happen to have that many ppl online to rvr, then why should they tell their guildies.. no u can't come RvR with us cause it will turn into a zerg.. go PvE or do something else instead.

well yes 1fg hibs don't present a challange against 3fg mids, but there is always pleanty of alb zerg around.

again kudos and respect to you, but I still feel that there isn't really anything that wrong with what RG do.

the problem is that hib has been nerfed a lot, and mezz has been nerfed in general, (especially bards :((((( ) gone are the days that 1fg of good players could still win against more numbers, now to fight the alb zerg of 5g + u need a good few peeps with u.

Yes and Yes :) The game is not about killing everything as easily as you can, if it was why would anyone not roam in a huge zerg? The game is about having fun fights which are close, could go either way and where your own actions can make a serious difference to the outcome of the battle. Roaming in 3fg and killing all the single fg's gets you rp's yes but is it fun? NO
GM of RG please read and understand game is about fun not increasing some silly number (rp).

a minimum weekly rp score is a good method of ensuring an rvr guild does just that, rvr. i know from personal experience ppl seem to want to join rvr guilds for the "leet" cloak and name and then proceed to roll alt no7 or play on hib/pryd or whatever when they were recruited because they were a needed class.

an rvr guild isnt a place to park your lvl50, its a place to play it to its fullest on the battlefield, if u dont want to do that get the fk out.

ofc it all depends how high they set that lvl, FC discussed 10k per week which isnt hard to get at all, but does indicate activity. basically if your playing rvr _at all_ u will make 10k+ per week (in FC anyway).

having said all that, RG's 3fg zerg of instamezz/ae stun and zerkers is about as much fun as a root filling and i can fully understand why the hibs r whining, they're not used to getting pwned. us albs are ;)

moveing more than 1fg gets boring imo.. 2fgs work - but not even close to as much fun you have with 1fg.... the more numbers you have the less skill you need, wich is boring imo

indeed. but 1fg died in emain some weeks ago with the birth of the VGN/LA/NP 2fg zergs. not whinging, if FC could reliably field 2 balanced grps we would too no doubt. but 3fg hib/mid virtually eliminates any chance for 1fg OR 2fg of albs.

this game needs a new zone/arena where ppl port to it in 1fg (including the ability to "duel" 1fg from your own realm)

There have been times in emain where we have decided to split forces but didnt actually do it. For example, 5 mins after nearly splitting up at dc we run into 5-6fg of albs nearly all at once and win. If we had split up we'd all died. So there is a v good reason for running as 3fg because not all albs/hibs move as 1 or 2 groups.

Anyway what is wrong with the Gm asking members for 30k a week. Most people can earn that in a day.

givf Best of the Best tourneys! I loved those back in my EQ days.

one full group from every guild on the server wanting to compete would duke it out (1 group vs 1 group in an arena) till one guild group was announced the winner.

Then the best guild groups from every server would fight until one server is the Best (my server won one year, weeee).
