Well, umm, only seen one episode of red dwarf, thought it was rather interesting and "hah" funny at times.

Bottom on the other hand is a lot more haha, yet, more brainless.

Really hard choice.

earlier series of Red Dwarf, wasn't to big a fan of the latter, bottom is funny too. Two different types of comedy/funny though tbh, one's more slapstick, the others not

As long as we dont count the last 2 series, it would be Red Dwarf over pretty much any UK comedy. In fact, if they had simply left out the last 2 series, it would probably rank as one of the top 3 but they just didnt put the effort in. Of course it didnt help that one of the writers left.

Bottom but is a close run thing.

Red Dwarf = curry jokes, coward jokes, and below-blackadder-style puns. half the show is gone before there's even a plot in an episode and then its scrape the bottom of the barrel type laughs.

Bottom = Desperate virgin bloke jokes, psycho drunken mate. ultra violence always beats any plot when its done well.

red dwarf is amusing.. nothing more... Bottom is funny.

Bottom, stupidly funny, but the 2 actors also wrote the show and directed it iirc. Also this scene from bottom live shows how easy it was for the to bounce off each other for improv

Oh definately red dwarf. Got jaded at the end with rehashes of same lines and similiar stories, plus that bloody woman.

Wouldnt tell anyone saying bottom that they were wrong though.

Red dwarf all the way until the woman came into it. Never really was a fan of bottom, but that said, I only really watched red dwarf as a kid so not certain I'll still be as much of a fan if I were to rewatch it now.

Still think it'd be no comparison though, even if the poll closeness suggests otherwise

red dwarf for me, bottom was funny (as was the young ones rick mails and adrian edmundsons ealier creation) but it a ares fart cock joke slapstick way, red dwarf was alot cleverer but as has been said the last few series (after rimmer left) were quite poor

Bottom. Rik Mayall and Ade Edmonson have always made me laugh.

I would possible have voted Red Dwarf but the last few series of it were really crap. In its prime it was great but it tailed off quite badly towards the end.
