Realm abilities, what to choose for a hero?

I put some more life into the thread I started some while ago. What are you tanks out there going to choose as your Realm Abilities and in what order?

I pretty much aim for Purge, increase str, dex, con, qui, end regenerate and some other stuff. For a lengty discussion on my thoughts :See my Hero realm abilities discussion.

What will you choose and why? and yes... be prepared to be included in my hero guide if you come with intelligent thoughts here. ( with intelligent thoughts I mean thoughts very close to mine )

i am realm rank 2L6 and have bought determination 3, aug dex 2 and mop 1.
i will get mop to lvl 3 eventually

Well Sat and thought long and hard.

Purge: A lot of points for:
a: On a timer
b: If you are mezzed, chances are team are mezzed, so unless all have it, can't see how it can help in standard RVR - unless you are solo .. so when does a hero go solo (ok I do on odd occasions).
c: Seems a waste of 14 pts if the druid in the grp has group purge.
d: 14 pts for a quick way to cure disease/poison/rez sick - that is in my mind a bad trade off (though that is my view).

So ... until I know or hear otherwise have done this:

Determination 2, Regen Health 1.

Results so far: Determination really does help - ok I get mezzed but for a far shorter period.. also Regen Health rocks! Not just for rvr, but also EXP.

Leaves me 12 pts to spend... I am actually looking at either:
Pts in Stat increases & block/parry - ok cheap, but not exciting

or:
Pts in the trip and snare ! .. Which I like the idea of - how many times you been chasing that enemy and though .. oh for a little more speed or some way to slow them down a little... If i can get 1 hit in, that minstrel/skald is dead!

or:
Making myself a mez resist machine:
A: Increasing magic resisitance
B: Determination
C: using all the spirit resist items I currently have.

Does anyone know of a forum on the USA side that is discussing the Realm Abilities?

hello peeps...to low for RA at the moment but some good sites are with RA disscusions are :camelot vault and daoc catacoombs...think thats how u spell them.... purge is a waste of points i think...unless you got loads to spend

I went for Master of Parry level 1 for this reason. The %age increase in parry chance supposedly is 0.5% with normal skill points in parry. The RA %age is much higher (3%) therefore being the equivalent of six normal skill points. I do seem to parry a lot more now.
